After leaving his home and staying penniless he moved with his aunt. In 1827 Poe published his first book.

Years later he won a $50 price for one of his stories, and married his14 year old cousin. Then they moved to Richmond where Poe became Editor of a newspaper.

He also wrote other books and stories like; The Fall of the House Of Usher, The Murders in the Rue Morgue, “The Raven” and The Bells.

Edgar Allan Poe died in October 7th , 1849 he was found in the gutter, and died four days later.
