Specializing in the manufacturing of covered electrodes, Kaynak Tekniği Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. was founded on March 1, 1974. With the onset of the 1980s, the company started manufacturing MIG/MAG welding wires. In 1992, Kaynak Tekniği Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. became the Turkish distributor of the USA based “The Lincoln Electric Company”, headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, and a leader in the manufacturing of welding equipment. On May 5, 1998 a fifty-fifty partnership was established with The Lincoln Electric Company. As a result of this joint venture, an important step to expand the company’s market share and exports to Europe, Russia, Africa and The Middle East was established.

The Lincoln Electric Company., the foreign partner of the joint venture, is one of the leading company worldwide specializing in the manufacturing of welding consumable products, welding equipment, welding generators, robotic automation and plasma cutting equipment. The company has joint ventures in 21 countries and a worldwide network of distributors and sales offices in approximately 160 countries.

As a result of the rising market conditions and rapid growth in sales, Kaynak Tekniği moved from its plant located in the district of Kartal in Istanbul since 1974 to its new and modern manufacturing facility in Kocaeli in 2007. Located in the district of Çayırova, within the borders of the Municipality of Şekerpınar, the manufacturing facility and headquarters is located on 40,000 square meters of land with an indoor area of 22,000 square meters.

In operation since 1974, Kaynak Tekniği has a capacity to produce 40,000 tons of covered electrodes, 30,000 tons of MIG/MAG welding wires, 5,000 tons of submerged arc welding wires and 1,500 tons of TIG welding rods on an annual basis. The company has a total of 4 sales offices in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir and Adana, employs approximately 500 peoples and has about 800 authorized dealers throughout Turkey. Kaynak Tekniği maintains a strong presence in the Turkish market and all products manufactured and introduced to its targeted audience are recognized for their superior quality.

Under the brand “Askaynak”, Kaynak Tekniği manufactures welding electrodes and welding wires primarily used by the welding manufacturing industry, while the “Kobatek” brand of products were developed to be primarily utilized during maintenance and repair welding processes. Additionally, Kaynak Tekniği distributes the “Lincoln Electric” brand of welding electrodes, welding wires and welding equipment, etc... of its partner The Lincoln Electric Company throughout Turkey. “Askaynak” branded welding machines and “CleanArc” branded fume extraction systems are respectable product group of the company. In addition to welding equipment and consumables, “Askaynak” branded abrasives, “Harris” and “Askaynak by Harris” branded gas equipment are the other products sold by the company.

Our company also commenced service in automation and robot technologies industry under the name of “Askaynak Automation” by incorporating SYS-RT Company in 2014, which provided robotic and automation solutions for the key industries like automotive, defence, steel construction, machine, metal and had huge expertise in the installation of robotic and automation systems as well as design of mold, fixture, face molds and special purpose tools.

Kaynak Tekniği continues to increase its export capacity each year and in parallel with this rapid growth in export, realizes sales were in over 50 countries worldwide.

The major fundamental principle at Kaynak Tekniği is to attain a high level of customer satisfaction. As a result, the company strives to ensure that the demands of the market are met and is committed to offering top quality products and services to all customers.

In 1995, Kaynak Tekniği was the first welding company receiving the “ISO 9001 Quality Management System” Certificate in Turkey. Further, Kaynak Tekniği has received Lloyd certification from American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), Bureau Veritas (BV), Lloyd Register of Shipping (LRS), Germanischer Lloyd (GL), Det Norske Veritas (DNV), Türk Loydu (TL), Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RMRS) and Registro Italiano Navale (RINA). Additionally, the company’s products have been approved by leading certification organizations to include TSE, TÜV, DB, GOST, NAKS, and SEPRO. Finally, Kaynak Tekniği Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. is also the first welding company receiving the “CE” certificate in Turkey.

In 1999, Kaynak Tekniği won the “Top Quality Award” in the category of small and mid-sized companies awarded in partnership with TÜSIAD (Turkish Industrialists and Businessmen’s Association) and KalDer (Turkish Society for Quality) once again confirming the company’s commitment for providing superior quality products and services.

Column-Boom Systems

Askaynak Column-Boom systems are the automation systems which enable lower labor cost by speeding up circular and linear welding operations on cylindrical materials with the aid of rotator and positioner.

Askaynak Column-Boom systems offer maximum welding quality and precision by vibration free linear bearings. Digital and touch-sensitive control panel allows synchronized control of column-boom and Askaynak branded rotators and positioners.

Telescopic Column-Boom Systems

Askaynak Telescopic Column-Boom systems were designed for welding materials having tall geometry such as especially wind tower. Telescopic columnboom systems consists of parts that operate within nested structure with the same logic in telescopic cranes. Telescopic movements of the boom provide a significant space saving.

With the digital control panel all features as well as Askaynak branded rotators, positioners and all features of Lincoln Electric PowerWave AC/DC 1000 welding machines can be controlled.

Askaynak self-adjusting rotator systems are suitable for welding materials having different diameters. These systems automatically detect materials having different diameters and enable welding parts to be rotated without extra settings.

Rotator systems consist of 1 unit motorized and 1 unit idler rotator assemblies. Motorized four wheel rotator assembly provides rotation without slipage.

Tank Welding Systems

Askaynak tank welding systems are the automations that speed up welding operation of field tanks / storages and enable rapid and high quality welding at once.

The system is very light by its aluminum structure. It enables welding of steel materials up to 8mm thickness, also can be used in the welding of the field type tanks having minimum 8000 mm diameter and more without upper limit.

Since the power unit is located on the framework of Askaynak Tank Welding Systems, there is a significant saving for welding and work cable. All system can be operated with a single power cable.

Chain Type Rotators

Askaynak chain type rotators are the systems that enable welding of plane parts such as H, I profiles, which frequently manufactured in steel construction manufacturing, by aligning a suitable position.

In these systems crane usage is decreased significantly and they provide high speed welding by aligning materials into groove position.

Optimum rotation and position of the welding materials are achieved by synchronous rotators.
