    Ooty aslo known as Udhagamandalam is theQueen of hill stations.

    It is the capital of Nilgiris district.

    It is situated at an altitude of 2,240 metersabove sea level.

    An added attraction for the tourists to Ooty ismountain train journey.

    The establishment of numerous tea estatesmade Ooty famous.

    Ooty generally features pleasently mild

    conditions throughout the year.

    Botanical garden The Botanical garden are one of the primary

    Ooty tourist attractions.

    It covering a area about 50 acres.

    This place was clean and well maintained. The process of recycling of plastic was followed

    strictly by the local municipality.

    There are different varieties of plant species are

    maintained in this garden. It attracts both foreign tourists and domestic

    tourists.

    Ooty Lake

    This Lake is the center of Ooty tourist attraction.

    This artificial lake adds an extra degree ofglamour to the hill town.

    Responsible tourism must be practiced in a

    larger scale in order to keep up thesustainability of the site.

    There are varieties of boats used in this lake.

    Ooty lake attracts various tourists from many

    places. There is no use of motor boats used in this lake

    because to prevent pollution.

    Wayanad district in Kerala is a land of

    mysterious mountain caves, thundering waterfalls, large forest land, ancient ruins, tree houses,exotic wildlife and a number of aborginal tribes.

    Wayanad has two major wildlife reserves Muthanga and Tholpetty that are home to anincredible range of flora and fauna, includingseveral endangered species

    The district also has its share of historical andreligious monuments. But its for its naturalbeauty that Wayanad is best known.

    Kuruva Island

    The Kuruva Island are a group of three Islandslocated in the middle one of the tributaries ofthe east flowing river Kabani.

    There are rare species of birds, orchids andherbs can be seen here.

    It is the destination for nature lovers.

    This is 950 acre of uninhabited land is rich inflora and fauna.

    The prohibition of plastics was strictlyfollowed in this Island.

    Thirunelli temple

    This is an ancient temple located on the side of

    brahmagiri hill in Wayanad. It was dedicated to lord Vishnu.

    Inscription in this temple date back to the

    period Bhaskara Ravi Varma I (962 1019 AD). The river near the temple called Papanasini,

    which means the cleansing of sins.

    Women are not allowed inside the temple.

    Lord Brahma was attracted by the beauty of thearea around the Brahmagiri Hill.

    Edakkal Caves The name Edakkal means A stone in between.

    The rock wall is etched with the carvingsdepicting human and animal figures and objectsof human use.

    These carvings speak of a highly civilized

    people of pre-historic caves. Many ancient excavations on walls of the caves

    are found which are about 6000 AD old.

    It was known people used to come to the caves

    to hide from wild animals and safer place tospend their night.

    Edakkal caves are rated second in the Neolithicage.

    They made all the handicrafts with bamboo.

    Eco-friendly material was used to makevarious accessories.

    Now they are having 22 home states.

    A non profit trust implementing end to endprogrames aimed at sustainable ruraldevelopment.

    in Wayanad. This lake look like as a India map.

    This lake have unique natural beauty.

    There is no proper maintenance of dustbins.

    Some tourist dont follow the instruction ofvarious destinations.

    so the Government should take necessarysteps to save the tourist destinations.
