• 20-100% Elongation - resists impact/expands and contracts (no cracking). Versus 1-3% for epoxies.

• 98 to 100% Adhesion - bonds well to steel, concrete, wood, asphalt, itself. Versus 10 to 70% for epoxies.

• Vertical and overhead application - fast curing rates.• Self leveling properties.• Cold weather application - 30 minutes at zero degrees F. • Less surface prep required – NACE 2.• Less expensive and lasts longer than epoxy coatings.

• Similar properties to coal tar enamels that last over a century. (0.2% water absorption, 250 V/mil dielectric strength, 350 psi adhesion – cohesive) without the drawbacks of extreme toxicity, carcinogenicity, flammability, and without drying out over time due to thermoplastic vs. thermoset aspect.

• Lack the extreme hardness and brittleness of epoxy coatings (Shore D40-60 versus Shore D80+).

• Higher acid/base & chemical resistance than most conventional polyurethane and polyurea coatings.

at 45 degrees F. The Ecodur 201 Coating can cure in 30 minutes

at zero degrees F. The Solvent Free Spray system eliminates the

need to flush out the lines for each application. Less prep time.

Comparable coverage rates at 20 to 40 mils coating thickness (0.020 – 0.040”) as compared to other 100% solids coating products.

Contractor installed prices vary depending on particular circumstances but are generally lower due to higher productivity derived from faster cure rates, zero use of solvents and ability to apply in cold weather without external heating.

Why do the primitive coal tar enamels last 100 years while modern epoxy, polyurethane and polyurea coatings last less than 10 years?
