1. Grow & engage your community of beneficiaries: ecopreneurs, SMEs, NGOs ...
• Next level or engagement: free, short event → service
1. Build relationships with and sell the lab's services to real customers/funders: large
companies and public entities → invite to event, share brochure (parallel channels)
2. Raise some funds (won't be much!) to recover part of the investment and continue
Campaign: link between ECO4CLIM16 and your lab
• Ecopreneurs: ideas, inspiration, teammates, build & develop their project, promotion ...
• SMEs: teammates, promotion, partners, going international ...
• NGOs: talent, inspiration, partners, promotion, work with SMEs and ecopreneurs ...
• Other professionals (free-lancers, not large companies): contacts & networking,
partnership & business opportunities, recognition ...
What it is for:

• Price adjustments: a good reference is startupweekend.org, use local currency• Real customers: groups of 10, 50% ecopreneurs/SMEs - 50% large companies → ≠ package• Travel expenses not included, but we can make deals with agencies for group discounts
• Crowdfunding: create emotional link, builde trust, step by step (event → service)

• Enhance engagement through crowdfunding: several interactions before purchase:

• 1st email: reminder of event's coordinates → announce crowdfunding & lab

• Engagement strategy: sell innovation not CSR!, invite to the event (jury)

• Local fundraising goal: 2,000 €? (1st round) Several distributions of donors in tiers
• Cities involved: who is in? 8-10?
• Expected total revenue: 8 cities x (2,000 - 3,000 €) = 16,000 - 24,000 € (rough estim.)
• Revenue distribution:
• Organizer: 80% of her/his campaign → remunerate work (event, lab): 1,600 - 2,400 €
• Global network: 20% of total revenue → cover some shared costs: 3,200 - 4,800 € (*)
• Legal involvement: your nonprofit or ECO4CLIM? → Latter: formal agreement + invoice
(*) Shared costs: video, communication, assistance, coordination & movement building, fundraising (other sources: tenders & calls) → 6,100 €
• Launch: tuesday, october 18th, 11:00am GMT+2
• Your preparations (fri-mon): choose platform, set up campaign, translate/adapt text, fix prices
• Internal mail (monday): common plan, materials, guidelines, social media & mailing strategy
• Duration:
• First round: 1 month, oct. 18 - nov. 18
• Second round: if 1st one successful, nov. 18 - dec. 16?
Yeah, we know, there is a bit of a rush, but we need to seize the moment... EO4CLIM16!
