To think global, to act local

Foundation: 1998 Incorporation of Ecolatex S.r.l., by some engineers and sales managers from Pirelli company, historic

producer of upholstered articles. The technicians and the sales agents, who took this decision, intuited the need to manufacture mattresses by closed moulds, which allowed to create models, with sophisticated superficial design.

Starting phase: 1999 – 2002 It dates back to the 1999 the start of the plant and the first production of the cycle of mattresses. It is in the

2002, instead, that started the first production of the cycle of pillows, on a dedicated production line. It is the beginning of a variegated and sophisticated production.

Development: 2003-2007 It is in this phase that the company establishes itself as one of the most important latex manufacturers.

Ecolatex imposed itself on the international scenario. Since it is able to deal with the 100% natural latex compound , to produce at continuous cycle (24/24 and 7/7) and to expand the settling in a new warehouse.

Expansion: 2009 – 2011 In 2009 it is built the new production line of mattresses, which shows very high level technological

improvements, with consequent increase of the production capacity and of the productivity. A new era : 2012 At the end of 2011, Ecolatex became ECO-TQL S.r.l, due to a change of the shareholders. The entry in the

board of directors of the people, who were already personally involved in the fate of the company, as working in Ecolatex, both from the sales’ and technical front, has shaped a even more flexible and committed firm, ready to face the quick evolutions of the market with skilfulness and freshness at the same time.

Centro Tessile Cotoniero – international association Oeko-Tex® - confidence in textiles – class I. It states that our products are suitable also for babies and children, because totally free of harmful substances.

Catas is the biggest Italian institute for research and test in the wood and furniture sector. It certifies that our mattresses got through the test of dynamic fatigue (EN 1957:2000).

Eco Umwelt Institut of Köln is an internationally recognised laboratory, specialized on tests on materials. We obtained the certification of our latex polymer as 100% natural latex.

ECO-TQL² is the denomination of our production process – it guarantees the manufacturing of mattresses, totally free of traces of humidity, which do not need any handling operations.

Laboratory Cerisie – for the certification and research about the elastomeric systems, acknowledged by the Italian Rubber Plastic Federation, stated that our latex is totally fillers-free.

The exceptional peculiarity of the nature, wormed out to improve your rest: what is latex?

Natural rubber is the product of cells of trees form subequatorial areas, mainly Havea Brasiliensis. It was only since 1839, when the American Charles Goodyear succeeded with the process of vulcanization, that it became widespread, giving rise to the modern industry of latex foam.

The modern chemistry has been able to reproduce the characteristics of the natural latex molecule, and to obtain a polymer which, after the vulcanization, shows features, definitely similar to caucciù.

Latex distinguishes itself by: Elasticity: with value similar to the ideal elasticity, latex guarantees a

support proportional to the pressure exerted, and thus the maintaining of the ideal position of the spinal column.

Capacity to relieve the superficial pressure: the dynamic behaviour of latex allows to support the tossing and turning, occurring during the night, and to avoid the bothersome compression of blood vessels.

Breathability: the open celled-structure and the full-height holes make the cores ECO-TQL the best support, concerning the evaporation of the body moisture.

Anti bacteria and anti dust mites: the environment, hostile to the survival of mites and bacteria, makes latex a product suitable to whom suffers of dust allergies, and also a hygienic mattress for the whole family.

To the natural characteristics of latex, ECO-TQL adds the sophisticated geometries, given by the disposition of the pin-holes, which allow to obtain personalized superficial designs, and 7 zones of differentiated support.
