1. SOFTWARE INSTALLATION

All software needed is available on the Banook Group website:

https://www.banookgroup.com/logistic-portal/comdl.html

PRE-REQUISITE

• You require the Windows 7 operating system on your computer. • You need to obtain administrator rights to install and configure ELI Link Software and/or

“serial to USB” cable drivers on your computer. • You require access to the Internet in order to download drivers and to be able to send

ECGs to Cardiabase. • You require Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 installed on your computer before installing

ELI Link software. If it is not currently available on your computer, you can download the installation program MSDotNetFramework_v11_SP1.exe from the above mentioned dedicated website and run it.

1.1. REQUIRED DRIVERS

If you intend to connect the ECG recorder device to your computer using the serial port, please refer to the steps in section 2.

If you intend to connect the ECG recorder device to your computer using the USB port, please refer to the steps in section 3.

1.1.1. USING WINDOWS 7

Using windows 7 you do not need any drivers media. They will be downloaded and installed automatically.

Connect the “serial to USB” cable to one of the USB ports available on your computer.

The required drivers should have been installed automatically.

If not, please contact [email protected]

Proceed to section 1.1.2 to check the COM port used.


1.1.2. CHECKING THE COM PORT USED

Once the drivers are installed, two new devices appear in the “Device Manager” list:

• USB Serial Port

• USB Serial Converter

You have to check on which COM port the USB Serial Port device has been assigned.

Launch “Device Manager”.

You can open device manager by:

‘start / run… / devmgmt.msc’

YOU ARE NOW ABLE TO INSTALL ELI LINK SOFTWARE ON YO UR COMPUTER

You always have to choose COM1. Keep the number of the COM port in mind. You will need it for ELI Link configuration (See chapter 1.2 screen 13)

1.2. INSTALLING ELI LINK SOFTWARE

Download EliLink from the dedicated website mentioned above (https://www.banookgroup.com/logistic-portal/comdl.html) unzip mortara.zip and execute set-up.exe .

Remark:

If Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 is not already installed on your computer, the following window will appear when you will attempt to run set-up.exe:

Click “OK” and first install Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 (See Annex 1) and then ELI Link software .

Upon running the set-up.exe , please follow the steps as described below:

Don’t change the default folder path

Do not enter anything and press “Enter” The main configuration screen of ELI Link appears. Click the “ Cancel ” button . You will have to check ELI Link configuration later (See screen 13).

If you want to connect the ECG recorder to the computer using an USB port , in the “Communications Options” section, select the COM port corresponding to the one checked after drivers installation (See chapter 1.1.2)

If you want to connect the ECG recorder to the computer using the Serial port , in the “Communications Options” section, select the COM port COM1 (selected by default).

Please check the ELI Link configuration screen and, if necessary, modify the fields as mentionned above and click OK.

Always choose COM01. (Select by default)


IMPORTANT NOTICE

Restarting ELI Link service is required to make effective any update of ELI Link configuration.

If you have installed ELI Link software on Windows XP , when cliking on OK on the screen of ELI Link configuration (screen 13), it will restart automatically ELI Link service.

If you have installed ELI Link software on Windows 7 , when cliking on OK on the screen of ELI Link configuration (screen 13), it will not restart automatically ELI Link service. Consequently you will have to restart manually ELI Link service as described below:

On the start menu, in the “search” section, enter “SERVICES.MSC”. The following window appears:

Select ELILink service and start or restart it (right-click).

1.3. UNINSTALLING ELI LINK SOFTWARE

The uninstall program will not delete any ECG files previously transmitted from the ECG Recorder to the computer in the folder C:\ECG\ELI\. If you want to delete them, you have to do it manually.

Windows XP: Launch the uninstall program by clicking “Start Menu\Programs\ELI Link\Uninstall ELI Link”:

Windows 7: Launch the uninstall program by clicking “Start button\All Programs\ELI Link\Uninstall ELI Link”:

The steps below are applicable to both Windows XP and Windows 7 operating systems:

Click “Yes”

Select “Remove ELI Link” and click “Finish”

If the above window appears, click “Continue”

Click “Close”

Click “OK”


2. DOWNLOADING ECG FILES USING SERIAL RS232 CABLE

PRE-REQUISITE

• You need to get administrator rights on your computer.

• EliLink must have been installed on your computer and configured accordingly (See chapter 1.2, screen 13).

• The computer must have one serial port available.

CONNECTION

You have to use the Serial RS232 cable. • Connect the ECG recorder to Serial RS232 cable • Connect the Serial RS232 cable to the computer

DOWNLOAD

• Turn the ECG Recorder on. • Press on XMT and then F1 . The files will be transmitted to your C drive in the folder

“C:\ECG\ELI\ ”.

PRE-REQUISITE

• You need to get administrator rights on your computer.

• The drivers for the Serial to USB cable must have been installed on your computer (See chapter �).

• EliLink must have been installed on your computer and configured accordingly (See chapter 1.2, screen 13).

• The computer must have one USB port available.

CONNECTION

You have to use both cables: Serial RS232 cable AND Serial to USB cable. • Connect the ECG recorder to Serial RS232 cable • Connect the Serial RS232 cable to the Serial to USB cable • Connect the Serial to USB cable to the computer

DOWNLOAD

• Turn the ECG Recorder on. • Press on XMT and then F1 . The files will be transmitted to your C drive in the folder

“C:\ECG\ELI\ ”.

4. TRANSMITTING ECG FILES TO ECG LAB VIA WEBUPLOAD INTERFACE

The ECG files to be sent are ELI files. (with .eli extension). ECG files will be encrypted.

For a secure transmission of the files to the ECG Lab, the authorized persons will receive a username and password to allow them to upload the ECG files on our webportal, Atrium.

4.1. PREREQUISITES

The feasibility of this transmission will be tested before initiation visit by Banook Group IT Team

together with Site IT Team. Contact of Site IT team shall be provided in the Request Form Shipment.

Internet browser has to be Firefox 28.0 or higher or Internet Explorer 8 or higher:

Windows XP SP2 or more recent versions of windows have to be installed.

4.2. CONNECTION

Login and password for WebUpload will be separately communicated in two different emails to the site

When you connect to this website, select center as your role:

Then enter your login and password:


4.3. UPLOAD INTERFACE

In order to transfer data directly to Banook :

• The user must first click on the data transfer Tab, then select a study from the list on the left

part of the screen

• Once the study is chosen, the user must press the “open uploader” button on the center of the screen, then a new window will open:

• On the left (Step1), the user has to complete the identification data of the record


• The center and patient data available are automatically prefilled based on the user account

information

• If the user has to create a new patient, he must chose “new patient” on the dropdown.

• Then the user has to complete date of birth, gender, patient initials and visit name.

Please note that all data cells in red are mandatory


• If the visit name is not available, the user has to select “Unscheduled”. He will then be

able to enter the new visit name

• For Holter exams, as soon as the visit name is selected, the user has to fill the exam recording date and the Exam recording time


• On the right (Step 2), the user can search for the exam folder to upload o Please select the complete Holter folder for upload

• The user then have to click on the button “Start upload” in order to upload the exam

• Upon clicking on the start upload button, a confirmation will be asked

• If the user press yes, the upload will start

Please note that if a file has already been uploaded for the exact same exam, the system will notify this to the user for additional confirmation


• Once the upload is started, the user will be able to either perform an additional upload, or manage the current exam uploads

• When the user chose “manage upload” he will be able to check the status of exam

upload, when the progress reach 100% (OK) for an exam, it means that it has been received by Banook Important: Please always wait for all the uploads to reach 100% (OK) before closing the application

• When managing upload, the user may cancel an upcoming upload that did not start yet by clicking on the button on the right of the exam upload line

• In such case, the user will be asked for confirmation


Pressing yes remove the upload from the list, and the user may then perform another upload or wait for the current upload to finish

ANNEX 1: INSTALLATION OF MICROSOFT .NET FRAMEWORK 1 .1 SP1

ELI Link software requires Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 to be installed on your computer.

To install it you need administrator rights on your computer. Download framework 1.1 from Banook Group’s website (See chapter 1. Software installation).

Then you have to unzip dotnet.zip and execute dotnetfxENU.exe .

Click “Yes”

You may have this error message, click on “Execute”.

Select “I agree” and then click “Install”.


Click “OK”.

Then you have to execute dotnetfxSP1ENU.exe .

You may have this error message, click on “Execute”.

Click on “OK”


Click “I accept”

Click on “OK”

Click on “OK” in order to restart your computer.

Now you can install ELI Link Software (See chapter 1)

If you encounter any problem during installation, please contact Banook Group’s techsupport (See contact details in chapter 5 (p23).

To unistall Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 use “Add/Remove Programs” from the “Control Panel” if your using Windows XP or “Programs and Features” if you’re using Windows 7.
