CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES CASE MANAGERS

Child Protective services responds to abused or neglected children.

Case managers work with families to set goals, work towards those goals, and close the case when goals are met. This may include taking the abused child for a period of time or forever, being placed in a more stable home.

Often the goals focus on maximizing children's safety and minimizing their risk of harm.

Case managers are required to have a four year degree in human services or a related field, and they must obtain a certificate.
