Department of ECE has set up a "Texas Instruments
Embedded Systems Lab" in collaboration with Texas
Instruments (TI) Bangalore, at the premises of
CTIEMT. Equipments like MSP430 launch pads,
ASLK development kits & various Analog/Digital ICs
have been donated by Texas Instruments for
establishing this lab. These equipments/components are
used to conduct experiments in mentioned subjects.
Apart from this, many workshops/Design Contests are
also organized under TI University Program to support
the advance learning in these subjects.
Apart from this, an Embedded Lab has also been set
up in association with SofCon Pvt. Ltd in campus
premises.

a. Before formal commencement of class room teaching, students are made to undergo ‘The
Orientation Programme’ in order to make them aware with:

b. Academic activities of department are planned by keeping in view the academic calendars of our
Institution.
c. The Department prepares the Instruction/session plans for all the subjects prior to the
commencement of the academic session.
d. B. Tech (Electronics & Communication Engineering) predominantly follows the lecture method.
Apart from classrooms study, various Industrial visits are organized for the better experience of the
students
e. For overall grooming of students, the ACCEPT program is integrated into the curriculum to train
the students on soft skills & aptitude at three difficulty levels: Beginner, Advanced & Expert.
f. Group Discussion, Role plays and use of simulation tools like PSpice, MATLAB, TINA
simulator, Proteus, Xilinx, Keil Compiler, OptSim, Qualnet etc are used for efficient lecture
delivery.
g. An online campus management system is set up by the institute to promote e-learning, i.e. to share
the relevant teaching material with the students anytime anywhere.
h. Advisers/ Class counselors are appointed for each class to guide every student in every possible
way, for the better growth of the students.
i. To facilitate the faculty & students in learning computer-aided teaching materials; various
workshops/ seminars/SDPs/FDPs are organized.
j. Quality of teaching is also ensured by the department of IQAC through regular inspections,
monitoring and audits.
k. An online student feedback is taken at the end of every semester for each subject in order to look
for the further possible improvements in teaching.

Strengths:

Weaknesses:
a. Teaching in single medium of instruction to heterogeneous group of students.
