A le tter fr om Essex police about the recent riots September 2011 Dear Members, Although August is traditionally quiet, this month has been a particularly busy one for ecdp. We have been working on our Access to Work report for some time and are pleased to share the results of it with y ou. Unfortunately, the issue it raises isn’t such good news. It will mean there are more hoops to jump through for disabled people who want to work and it will cost the taxpayer more money. We will work closely with government, Access to Work and local councils to try and sort the problem out. If you’ve been affected by the changes, please let us know. On a more positive note, more details about the Olympic and Paralympic Games in London was published this month. There are plenty of opportunities to become a volunteer, so do check out the information.
