snapping tHe skiDAfter pulling off a 3-2 OT upset of No. 8 nationally ranked Oswego State, the Blue Devils went cold, dropping their next three games. However, Fredonia stopped the bleeding with a 6-4 win over SUNY Potsdam, a game in which the Blue Devils scored three third period goals to over-come a one goal deficit for the victory.

tHe battle oF rookie goaliesYou will more than likely see EC freshman Sal Magliocco ’17 in net for the Soaring Eagles. You should also expect to see Chris Eiserman for Fredo-nia between the pipes as the rookie talent has played in all five games this year for the Blue Devils, totaling 133 saves.

not in 40 yearsLast season’s leading goal scorer, Carter Shinkaruk ’16 became the first freshman to lead the Soaring Eagles in goals scored. Shinkaruk scored nine goals in his rookie campaign and will surely be a force on offense in 2013-14.
