Since 2003, EBALDC has successfully run the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program to provide free tax preparation services for low to moderate income families. Our goal is to ensure that more working families in the East Bay are claiming tax credits and refunds for which they are eligible, such as the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). The EBALDC VITA program maximizes its impact by being a gateway to other community benefits and services.
