Rise to the Challenge
Everyone belongs
Thank you to parents, caregivers and friends who joined EPS students and staff in making our Harmony Day celebration a huge success. It was such a special day for our culturally rich and inclusive school. Messages of friendship, unity, diversity, respect and peace were sprinkled throughout songs, poetry and dance performances from all students K-6. Harmony Day is about:
• Multicultural Australia which full of different stories and traditions all coming together to embrace diversity;
• Respect and appreciation for everyone who calls Australia home;
• Working together and existing without conflict; • Treating each other as equals and creating
communities where everyone belongs – like our own school
• Celebrating the unique cultures that make our country what it is
• Celebrating each others traditions and stories while rejecting hatred, prejudice and racism;
• Encouraging all of us to create a future that is welcoming, accepting and safe;
No matter where you’re from, what language you speak, what you look like, or who you worship - we all belong! Anthia Tsantoulis Principal

Harmony Day Everyone Belongs
Our Oceans by 4/3 SH
Life in the Ocean
I’m lonely in the dark
With no friends to play with
Suddenly a ship appears
The pointy end thing heads
Towards me.
I swim as fast as I could
Don’t catch me.
I bit his leg and escape him.
He throws his harpoon at me
He caught me. I was angry
So I swallowed him.
By Azara
Why we should stop polluting the ocean
Plastic, it’s a problem for everyone and these are the reasons why. It’s a big problem for our oceans, we are getting chemicals inside our bodies and other animals. Single use plastic is wasteful. Fish and sharks think the plastic is their food and accidently eat it. By Hugo
Stop and Pick up Rubbish
It is time to clean up Australia’s rubbish because if you don’t then all the plastic bags will fly away and end up in the ocean.
Make the world healthy, don’t make it a plastic world. We keep our world clean and safe and strong. I hope you believe me to our world healthy and strong.
