Junior Angus exhibitors led 194 entries at the 2014 Eastern Regional Junior Angus

Show June 12-15 in Raleigh, N.C. Kyle Gillooly, Wadley, Ga., evaluated the 121 owned females, 42 bred-and-owned (B&O) females, 16 B&O bulls, seven steers and eight cow-calf pairs before choosing winners.

Cheyenne Jones, Franklinton, La., led the grand champion B&O female. CCC Ava 2236 is an October 2012 daughter of SAV Net Worth 4200. She first won senior champion. WSA Lady 9162 was named reserve grand champion B&O female after first winning reserve senior champion. Colleen Jones, Kinston, N.C., owns the December 2012 daughter of Soo Line Motive 9016.

Work Princess 4044 3042 was named

grand champion owned female. Mackenza Muncy, Staunton, Va., owns the March 2013 daughter of SAV Priority 7283. She first won late junior champion. PVF Missie 3078 earned reserve grand champion owned female honors after first winning reserve late junior champion. Lakyn Davis, Doerun, Ga., owns the March 2013 daughter of Dameron First Class.

Emily Velisek, Gaithersburg, Md., exhibited the grand champion cow-calf pair. PDV Princess Nikita 210Z is a February 2012 daughter of Connealy Thunder. Her calf is a February 2014 daughter sired by Connealy Final Solution. Callie Eastin, Gretna, Va., showed the reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. MPA Blackbird 108 is a September 2011 daughter of Summitcrest Complete 1P55.

Her calf is a November 2013 heifer sired by Dalton’s Rito 0230 of 3623.

MC SCC Confidence J3046 claimed grand champion B&O bull honors. Lauren Grimes, Hillsboro, Ohio, owns the March 2013 son of Connealy Confidence 0100. Morgan Hutchins, Columbia, Tenn., led the reserve grand champion B&O bull. Destiny’s Sound 38 is a February 2013 son of Whitestone Rogue Y242.

Mark Alexander, Berryville, Va., led the grand champion steer. Turning Pt. Copenhagen 3924 is a May 2013 son of Brookmeade Emblazon 153. Gordon Clark, Gretna, Va., owns the reserve grand champion steer. Beaver Creek Bruiser D33 is an April 2013 son of BCA Bismarck H07.
