OLD BUSINESS

PASSED (17 for, 2 abstentions) Motion: Make GNA on NYE an Eastern Area activity to be coordinated and executed by the Activities Committee Motion Made by: Tulsa Original Group (on behalf of GNA Committee) Motion Seconded by: Southside Recovery Intent of Motion: To move GNA on NYE from being a “group sponsored” event to being an actual Eastern Area Activity. This will enhance the accountability of the event as well as reflect a more appropriate representation of the actual cross-section of members that it serves. It will also make participation more available to more addicts that are interested in serving in this manner.

The rent being raised on the Literature Office is presenting a possible bylaw change. The groups need to vote on changing the wording in the bylaws to say that the Literature Office rent will be “amount agreed upon by the groups.” This is in place of a dollar amount so we will not have to change the bylaws each time rent is changed for the Literature Office. • Cassandra W. is going to get a lease agreement for the space we use in Jimmy’s Place • As of now, the Literature Office is also being used as storage for Jimmy’s Place

ELECTIONS

The Way Out group

Need women sponsors, gave them a phone list.  Invited them to participate at Area, they have no GSR.  Will go to their next group c and encourage to pick a GSR and send to Area.

The sponsor lists that Outreach hands out needs updated so I'm asking the GSR 's to go back to your groups and ask who is willing to sponsor and who is willing to sponsor long distance. A lot of the outlying/rural meetings do not have members able to sponsor but are in desperate need of them.  Please text me a list from your group if you have willing members. 918-344-2139

We are actively looking for dedicated participants for Outreach.  Please share with your groups this is a great way to be of service with minimal commitment.

Next Outreach trip:

Feb. 29 to Henryetta, Klean & Serene group.
