Lanciano, Italy 700s A.D.Lanciano is the name of a town in Italy.The word Lanciano means The LanceA monk wise in the ways of the world, but not in the ways of faith, was having a trying time with his belief in the real presence of Our Lord in the Eucharist.While saying Mass one day Our Lord helped him with his doubt.The monk turned and faced the people and said,

O fortunate witnesses to whom the blessed God, to confound my disbelief, has wished to reveal Himself in this Most Blessed Sacrament and to render Himself visible to our eyes.

Come, brethren, and marvel at our God so close to us.

Behold the Flesh and Blood of our most beloved Christ.

The host had turned into Flesh.

The wine had turned into blood.

The Miracle is OngoingOver 1300 years after the miracle, the Flesh and Blood remain uncorrupted in the church at Lanciano

No preservatives have been used.

In 1970, the scientific community examined the miracle and this is what was found.

1970 Test ResultsThe flesh is real flesh. The blood is real blood.The flesh consists of the muscular tissue of the heart. (myocardium)The blood is human and the type is (AB positive)The blood had normal human proteinsThe flesh and blood has remained in this state for 1300 years NO preservatives were found.

1978 NASA Tested the Shroud of TurinAccording to Pope Julius II in his letter dated April 25, 1506, the shroud is the famous Shroud in which our Savior was wrapped in the tomb. The shroud bears Christs image.

One of the many findings authenticating the shroud was the blood type (AB positive)

The same type as the blood in Lanciano.
