Easter Saturday

On Easter Saturday Polish people prepare a traditional Polish Easter basket with

painted eggs, meat, chocolate rabbits, bread,

salt, pepper, butter, chocolate lamb and cakes

( called „mazurek”, „babka”).

After packing basket they go to church to bless food.

Below are some pictures of Easter eggs called „pisanki”.

Easter Sunday

On Easter Sunday people spend time with their families during Easter breakfast, Easter dinner and afternoon coffee.

They share Easter eggs and wish all the best.

Easter Monday

On Easter Monday boys pour water on girls. This tradition is said to bring good luck to girls.

It is called „śmingus-dyngus”.
