We celebrate Easter because in the Christian faith , Jesus died on Easter and then was born again 3 days after . He died because he wanted to show humans to follow his teachings . We have hot cross buns to remember Jesus died on the cross for us . We have chocolate Easter eggs to celebrate him being born because eggs symbolise new life . Easter is celebrated at slightly different times each year depending on the moon cycle and calendar but normally in march or April . Good Friday , the day Jesus died on the cross . Easter Sunday , the day Jesus was resurrected .
