Year 2

Selamat siang semua dan selamat datang di surat kabar yang terakhir pada minggu 10, di term 3.

Greetings everyone and welcome to the last newsletter for Term 3.

This term, Room 1 has worked very closely with Ibu Clifton to present their assembly item. It was an

‘Indonesian’ assembly centred around all the things the class have been learning about this wonderful country

each week. Thanks to the wonderful Ibu Clifton, they were able to dress in Indonesian clothing and had a lot of

fun learning two songs sung fluently in Indonesian. It was ‘Bagus”

In Science, Year 2 have been investigating water, its sources and uses. Each week, one scientifically minded

student is selected to wear the much prized and sought after “Science Coat’. There have been many worthy

recipients to date with eager students vying for it each week!

In Geography, we have looked at our connections to other places in the world then each student presented a

short oral report on places they are connected to. We have an incredibly multi-cultural class with connections

to Russia, Hungary, Greece, China, England. Korea, Myanmar, Mauritius, Ireland and many other places.

It has been a busy term filled with lots interesting events and learning but, we are all now looking forward to

two weeks holiday!
