Thank you for taking the time to read our 2012 Life Group Guide. We are so excited about what God is doing in our church this year, especially within the small group setting we call Life Groups. Life Groups are integral to our ministry here at ECCC, and we need them in order to run an effective church ministry. As we continue to grow and God continues to build us, our Life Groups become even more important in providing opportunities for you to connect with smaller ministries throughout our church.

In your hands you hold the opportunity to join a Life Group and take a deeper step into ECCC. Take some time and look at the groups that we offer. If you find one that sparks your interest, fill out the connection card to sign up. We offer a wide range of groups that meet on several different nights of the week and weekend. If you’re looking for someone

to motivate you or to help you grow in your walk with God, this is the place you’ll find it. No matter the stage of life or area of spiritual growth you’re in, we have something for you. If you happen to not find a group that meets your interest, call me and we’ll discuss what it takes for you to start a Life Group of your own.

The body of Christ is made up of many parts; each part has its own specific purpose. Just like our natural bodies, the different parts of the body of Christ are essential for maximum efficiently. The church works the same way; we all have our purpose in building and strengthening the body of Christ. One of the most powerful ways you can find and hone your part in the body of Christ is connecting in Life Groups. A body part off and alone without connections will at best lose its usefulness and at worst whither and die. Don’t let that happen to you as a member of the body of Christ. Life Groups are small home groups that meet in many locations in many different styles all throughout the Body of Christ. Here at East Coast we have 5 different kinds of groups for you to experience.

AGE-SPECIFIC: Life Groups geared to Identity, TNT and Mezzanine, these offer community and growth both spiritually and relationally for our congregation of younger generations.TEACHING & DISCUSSION: Bible studies, discussion, and teaching groups geared to challenge and expand your knowledge of faith, and build lasting friendship at the same time.SERVING: The newest member of our Life group teams, our serving groups are the nuts and bolts of the Church, without these we would not have smooth running services, made up of mainly volunteers serving on a weekly basis; Serving groups are rewarding and a great place to build lasting friendships.MINISTRY & RELATIONSHIPS: These groups offer targeted support for spiritual and relational needs in our body. They are geared to build and strengthen relational and spiritual needs on a deeper level.ACTIVITY: Our activity groups offer a wide range of groups geared to help you make friends, invite friends and have a relaxed atmosphere of fun.

Connections are some of the most powerful gifts God blesses us with; our friendships, family and relationships all rely on connections to strengthen and grow. At East Coast, we want you to connect and find lasting, fruitful, relational connections that will help you to where God is calling you. Life groups can change your life if you will let them.
