Earth Day 2018 #Treewalk

CGPL celebrated the "Earth Day", 2018 with all virtue and vigor, as we took a step towards knowing Nature better. To commemorate Earth Day, a Tree walk was organized in the CGPL's Aashiyana township, which saw the partici-pation of employees and families. It was made all the interesting as the experts from the much renowned NGO Sahjeevan and Kutch University rendered talks. The Tree walk then began, which was not only getting us closer to the Nature but letting each of us appreciate the endowments of Mother Earth. Thus, Earth Day celebrations was both knowledge enhancing and peace evoking.

On the occasion of Earth day Mr Vasudeva J and Mr BN Hivarale addressed the gathering about importance of Earth day. Team planted 45 various saplings in our 4 plants at Karnataka.

3. SPGCL OMAS team

Earth Day 2018 #Treewalk

SPGCL OMAS team visited the site around on earth day and observed the di�erent types of tree available nearby. Team saw trees of Chakundi,Gulmohar,Peepple,Karanch,Jammun,Guava,Almond, Fishtail palm,Neem,Behra,Pa-paya,Mango,Bamboo,Bottle palm,Mahua etc. and discussed their bene�ts.

Salsette Receiving Station, held an awareness program for World Earth Day with speaker, Mrs Janhavi Biwalkar from Corporate Environment & Climate Change, Carnac who have expert knowledge in Earth Conservation and Ecological Degradation. She urged people to take a proactive role in saving our mother Earth. She also spoke about the need for conservation and the major problems faced by the earth and it's depletion of resources. Mr Bhangaonkar, Head-East Circle, Transmission gave message about conservation of Mother Earth by his own com-posed Poem, to all the sta�, which was highly appreciable.After the seminar, Mr A D Kulkarni, along with all sta� from Salsette conducted "Treewalk".

5. Maithon

Earth Day 2018 #Treewalk

Team Maithon conducted Tree walk on 27th Apr'18 inside the plant premises for one hour around plantation areas. Total 102 MPL employees and green belt development workmen participated in the Tree walk. On the occasion of Tree walk Mr. P.K Bandhu briefed about importance of Earth Day, green belt, MPL green belt status, plantation details among participants.

#TreewalkforEarthDay was conducted in CTTL Trombay Terminal premises on 21st April, 2018 @ 4.00 pm. CTTL Employees alongwith Contract employees had a walk around Terminal area spreading awareness of con-serving Environment and importance of trees in our lives. Trees which were visited were Neem, Mango, Badam, Banana, Tamrind, Huge Banyan tree etc.

WREL DMS-MMS site Surendranagar Gujarat has organized a Tree walk for earth day on 22nd of April 2018. A team of total 08 Volunteers (Employees + Associates) has gone through a Tree walk in the plant premises (pe-riphery). Team has devoted 03 hours to smell the beauty of nature we have also take the help of the local villag-ers to identify the plant species and also get the knowledge on the importance of plant.

12. Trombay Thermal Power Station

Earth Day 2018 #Treewalk

On the occasion of the Earth Day, Tree walk was arranged at Trombay station A on 23rd April 2018 between 10:15 to 11:30 hrs. Total 25 employees from various departments enthusiastically participated in the walk. During the walk the group observed Fish Tail Palm, Sea Poison Tree, Banyan Tree, Cannon Ball Tree, Neem, Mango, Jamun, Rain Trees, Bamboo, Casuarina and shrubs like Stachyterpeta, Lantana, Crotoloria, Lime, Curry leaves, Vadelia, Touch me not, Ixora, Tulsi and so on. Few birds like Kite, Myna, Sunbird, bulbuls were spotted by the team. We could also spot nesting of Kite and Crows.M/s Lalit Neve and Ravindra Kamath coordinated the event.

Earth Day 2018 #Treewalk

Team Kalinganagar celebrated “World Earth Day” at Kalinganagr Unit. They discussed about the role of trees in environment and its bene�ts. They took pledge for tree plantation in the future and to save environment for our future generation.More than 50 employees took part in the program and also shared their knowledge about the importance of the trees.

14. WSPBLTeam WSPBL celebrated Earth day with Tree plantation. They also took pledge of keeping environment clean and pollution free.

Earth Day 2018 #Treewalk

Earth Day was celebrated at Bhira on 25th April. Employee participated in the event enthusiastically sharing their experiences, Myths, Stories related to Trees.A nature walk was arranged around the trees, usage, bene�ts and medicinal properties of plant were discussed during the tree walk.Employee shared the latest noti�cation related to plastic ban in Maharashtra and discussed how the plastics are harmful to our nature, animals & mother earth.

16. Borivali Receiving Station On 27th April, Borivali Receiving Station, Tata Power, held an awareness program for World Earth Day with speak-er, Mr. Sanjay Neve from Corporate Environment & Climate Change, Carnac. He shared his knowledge about Earth Conservation and Ecological Degradation. He also spoke about the need for conservation and the major problems faced by the earth and its depletion of resources.The lecture was well attended by all and everyone decided to make more e�orts to save the Earth. After the semi-nar, Mr P R Naik, along with all sta� from Borivali took "Treewalk" in the garden located in the Borivali colony
