Dual Credit courses offer students the opportunity to be enrolled as a student at two institutions for the same course:
1. High School Credit on the HS transcript. These grades and credits will be included in HS credit totals and HS GPA.
2. College Credit for the enrolled course with Lone Star College. These grades and credits will be included on the Lone Star College transcript, in the Lone Star College GPA, and may be calculated in your overall College GPA.
3. Limited number of approved courses available for Dual Credit.
4. Students pay a reduced amount for Dual Credit courses, as “tuition is waived”. Students pay fees EACH SEMESTER. $73* for 3 hour course.

College Board curriculum taught throughout school year in high school AP course.
1. High School credit on the HS transcript. Grade in course will be included in credits and HS GPA.
2. College credit may be awarded by university based upon test score of 3, 4, or 5.
3. University determines which course the credit will equal and whether they will award the credit.
4. Students pay AP Exam Fee. 2019-20 rates: $98.00
