International Graduate Program 2 years

Entry Level Specialist Role Permanent

Internships6 months

Open to anyone aspiring for an international career and

is unsure which function is right for them. This program

provides experience in multiple departments and areas

and is open to those from varying backgrounds.

Open to those who have mastered a specialist field

and are ready to start their career.

Open to those who have gained knowledge

through education or perhaps fallen in love with

a certain technology. This would be a good fit for

undergraduates, recent graduates or those with

entrepreneurial experience.

You will be a current student enrolled on a technology or STEM course with a clear demonstrable interest in pursuing a career in technology.

Who you are...

We are not looking for individuals with advanced coding

skills, but rather then aptitude to work with different types of

technology, the desire to ask questions and take a self-directed

approach to learning. Get involved in projects related to Data,

Back-End, Front-End and Devops or join us for a specific project

to figure out your interests and see the whole picture.

Self-starter, eager to learn and develop? Able to problem solve individually or as part of a group?Can you work together with others to build user-centric solutions?Do you love using data to understand users? Speak English and/or Spanish and French?

We build tools and infrastructure that help ~1500 engineers in some of Europe and

South America’s biggest online marketplaces be more efficient developing services

on the cloud. We maintain CI/CD infrastructure at scale, manage Kubernetes

clusters, connect all through event buses and develop automation on top of it.

We also built the big data infrastructure that supports data scientists around the

company, and ensure that all the software we produce follows the highest security

standards. We are using cutting edge technology both developed in house, or in

the open source community along with big players like Google or Netflix.

The position

Our central international organisation is offering 4 internships in a department called Platform services based in Barcelona.

There are a lot of things that each

Adevinta engineer should be aware of.

It is challenging to maintain this level of

awareness due the high scope of sources

we use. Our objective is to create an agile

Bot just to care about those things that

each engineer should be aware of. Help

us help our engineers! Make them aware

of pending PRs, be aware of important

notifications from Slack, email, or other

sources.

30th September 2019

The onboarding week will:

introduce you to some members of our leadership team, your buddy and your line manager

you will understand about Our company structure, strategy, values/behaviours and our customers

you will also get an overview of your department and the overall program

we will also introduce you to some of our internal tools and we will provide you with laptop, phones etc so that in Week 2 you can immerse yourself into your department and get started

your team project which you will deliver with the other interns at the end of the 6 months

You will be assigned a buddy that can help you day to day and you will also have a bi-monthly check in from the HR function.
