EAP797: Preserving Malawi's endangered historical District Notebooks, 1891-1964

Mr Joel Thaulo, National Archives of Malawi 2015 award - Pilot project £10,553 for 4 months

A survey report was produced which gives details of 80 of the 182 identified district notebooks from District Commissioner’s offices and registries in Malawi. These notebooks will need to be transferred to the National Archives for preservation as most require minor restoration work mainly to fix weak and broken spines.
