MUSIC NEWS
Wade Carpenter's "Peace Around The World" float placed 2nd in the Xmas Light Parade on Dec. 3rd. We had a great turnout of students participating this year. Thank you all for representing our school. Have a safe and happy holiday season! Feliz Navidad! Ms. Valenzuela
Nutrition Club: The Winter Woes… As we make it into the thick of winter its necessary to make changes in our daily
lives to maintain our health. During our 2nd Quarter Nutrition Club meeting we informed our scholastic community about the effects of holiday treats and sweets,
how to support a deteriorating immune system with infused waters, and concluded with effective weight-free exercises to do in your own home. Thank you to all who came and hope to see more nutrition enthusiasts next time. Go Eagles!

On December 16th, the Math Department held a Math Night to promote a learning community between
teachers, students, and most importantly, the parents! It was a very positive experience. Parents and their
children were engaged at all times. They really had a good time learning about different ways of helping their
children to work to their full potential. As Math teachers, we shared tips to help parents implement
research-based computer programs such as Big Brainz and Khan Academy. These programs will help fulfill those areas of risk and prepare our students for the
next step in their academic development. -Ms. Valenzuela
Happy New Year! Happy New Year!
