Company Registration Ground Transportation Season Nov. 1 –
October 31 Complete application 15/16 season – Dec. 14 Vehicles must be registered annually PUC Certificate - updated and on file Indemnification - letter of indemnity signed Vehicle list
* AVI and license plate number required for each vehicle
* Affixed on windshield by Airport personnel Insurance Certificate - current and on file
Vehicle List Requirements
1. Year, Make, Model, & Color
2. VIN - Last 6 digits
3. Vehicle Capacity - usable seats
4. License Plate #
5. Vehicle # - what you call the vehicle
6. AVI Transponder #a) EGE AVI tags only - Affixed (horizontally) by
airport personnel
b) Transponders available for purchase - $30 each
c) Transponder replacement cost - FREE
Vehicle List & Registration
List of vehicles and all registration paperwork to office before December 14 to avoid suspension of account.
Temporary vehicles will require an AVI tag and have proper markings on vehicle.
Uber/Lyft vehicles will be treated as all other ground transportation companies. No staging allowed on Airport property without completed registration and payment.
Registration and Trip FeesAnnual commercial vehicle registration fee

Per Trip Charge - $1.50 per sellable seat

Insurance Requirements1. Minimums per PUC
2. General Liability○ Ground transportation commercial operators shall
maintain a general liability insurance policy with a minimum coverage of $1 Million and Automobile combined single limit of $1 Million.
○ Eagle County Airport and Eagle County Air Terminal Corporation must be listed as Additional insured on the insurance certificate.
○ Current certificate must be kept on file in Administrative office.

Vehicle Operations
Commercial Vehicle Traffic Flow
Vehicle Operations East vehicle hold lot.
○ No trip charge if entered from and exited directly through the east exit.
○ For use if arrived early for pick-up. General exit grace period – 60 minutes. Unattended vehicles not permitted on terminal curb Passenger drop-off and loading in designated
areas Parking only permitted in designated parking
spaces Reserved pick-up lot spaces marked with blue and
yellow striping for High-Mountain & CME spaces

Vehicle OperationsVehicle Idle Time
Commercial Operators are encouraged to turn off their vehicles during dwell time at the Airport.
In the event it is not practicable to turn off a vehicle due to extreme cold, Commercial Operators are encouraged to limit any vehicle idling time to fifteen minutes or less.
Client / Passenger Pick-up
Passenger Meeting Area in TerminalBehind stanchions and away from all doors
Client / Passenger Pick-upMeeting and greeting pre-scheduled passengers
○ To ease Pick-up Lot congestion individual(s) may be in the Pick-up Lot and Terminal not more than fifteen minutes prior to the scheduled arrival of that passenger’s flight.
○ Only commercial operators with a current concession agreement may accept walk up passengers inside Terminal.
○ Manifest required and produced when asked
Client / Passenger Pick-upHandling of Passenger Luggage
If the passenger requests baggage assistance from the Company Representative and reasonable Skycap service is not available at the time of pick-up, the Company Representative may assist the passenger with the baggage
Respect each other. Maintain etiquette and support skycaps and their functions.
The Company may not proceed beyond the designated meeting area, but may take the passenger’s luggage from the designated meeting area to the vehicle, and return for additional baggage.
Client/Passenger Drop-off - ALL GT vehicles must enter commercial vehicle route or may be sent around.

Handling of Passenger Luggage
If a passenger requests baggage assistance from the Company Representative, and reasonable Skycap service is not available at the time of drop-off and unloading, the Company Representative may assist the passenger with his or her baggage.
Suggestion: while advancing to curb area, offer skycap services.
The Company Representative must use the designated unloading area, follow airport staff direction, and must return to their vehicle immediately upon delivering the passenger’s bags at the Terminal.
If passengers have NO luggage to be checked, Company Representative can pull up past curbside check-in to drop off passengers.
Operator Conduct on Airport
Articles shall remain on person
Professional and neat appearance
Premier class and welcoming conduct
Notices of ViolationSuspension and Revocation
First Violation A Commercial Operator issued one (1)
Notice of Violation during a Ground Transportation Year will not be immediately suspended, unless the Aviation Director, or his designee, determines that the Commercial Operator’s behavior was willful and/or deliberate and a disruption to Airport Staff or the traveling public.
Second ViolationA subsequent violation of the ground
transportation rules and regulations by the same individual or any other company representative will result in a suspension of the entire Company’s operating privileges at the Airport and/or Airport Terminal for a period of up to seven (7) days
Requires meeting with Aviation Director within 10 days after issuance of violation
Third Violation
A third Notice of Violation or a violation of suspension requirements by the Company will result in the revocation of the Company’s operating privileges on the Airport and the Airport Terminal for one (1) calendar year.
Curbside and Terminal Service Representatives
Functions - Assist traveling public, monitor traffic flow, parking lots, & GT operations both inside and outside of the terminal
Ground Transportation Operations○ Ensures compliant GT operations○ Contacts GT operators, reports infractions,
and enforces security and safety policies○ Conducts random GT compliance audits○ Issue AVI tags after admin office hours
Odds and Ends Watch speed limits and pedestrian crossings
and walk ways. Be aware of new crosswalk for the free parking lots.
Parking for non-drivers in employee lot
Inform passengers of procedure to find driver and vehicle at time of reservation

Lists flights, parking & transportation, maps & directions, airport information, book a flight and make on line payments.
