Proper surface preparation and treatment of article is the first step towards achieving a good quality surface coating finish. Cleaning of the article's surface and treating the article surface with chemicals is the basic step: one of the key surface-finish de�ning steps.

This system for online cleaning of articles consists of a tunnel mounted on tanks with allied piping, pumps, spray nozzles for spraying chemicals on articles which are moving on a conveyor. The design is based on conveyor speed, article pro�le & pretreatment timing. The specially designed weldless spray tunnel and locking between zones to limit

chemical carry-over between adjacent chemical zones eliminates chances of chemical leakage. Specially selected heating systems, oil skimmers, indirect heating systems, dosing mechanisms are elements which further contribute for ef�cient and effective output of the spray pre-treatment system.

SPRAY PRETREATMENT

The dip type pretreatment system is a economy solution for achieving surface pre-treatment. Articles are dipped in chemical �lled tanks for required surface treatment. Article movement is customized for optimum production economy.Chemical heating in the dip tanks can be done using thermic �uid, hot water, immersion heaters, gas burners, diesel burners, depending on site and production suitability. Specially selected oil skimmers to control contamination levels in tanks, sludge removal systems further contribute to effective and ef�cient output from the dip pre-treatment system.

Intech offers MS, SS powder coating booths for all scales of production considering manual and automatic applicator systems. Powder recovery, which is the key to achieving powder coating economics, can be done using multicyclone or cartridge �lter. Intechs powder coating booths with the multicyclone recovery system are tested and attested for CE, EX, UL, DEMKO certi�cation. The designs also incorporate patented protection for explosion and �re in the coating booth.

l Water Wash Booth - Designed & engineered to handle all types of spraying application. Water waft & eliminator plates ensure effective over spray pick up & paint arrest. Side draught or Down draught suction options for over spray paint collection.

Depending on the application / article to be coated, the production volume, availability of space and facilities, Intech offers selection from the water wash or dry back booths, both in side draft or down draft modes, which can be used for manual or automatic paint application. The auto applicators like bell or disc are mounted on reciprocator unit or can be stationary.

Liquid painting is an excellent option for �nished assembled components and products where other coating technologies may be lesser or not suitable.

Intech offers the complete system for transfer & regulation of paint from paint room to applicator, with addition of centralized fresh air unit, if required. Recommended for quick colour change, the system consists of l Pneumatic paint transfer pumps provided

Ovens are one of the key elements in paint shops either for water drying after pretreatment and for curing or baking of paint or powder. Baking at the required temperature and for predetermined time span is key for surface �nish and durability. Another important feature desired from ovens is control over heat loss which in turn re�ects in faster heat up of the oven and maintains optimum power consumption. Intech takes pride in pre-testing and delivery of all expected performance parameters for all types of ovens.

Diamond Loop Types Oven Recommended for use with power & free conveyor for higher production volumes, space constraint and longer components. Lateral movement of the article inside the oven ensures complete curing time in compactly designed oven.Camel Back Type Oven Recommended to reduce heat losses through entry and exit due to big article cutouts. The article entry / exit is usually designed from bottom of the ovenIR Oven Recommended for quick drying of components. Diesel/Gas �red Oven with additional IR booster zone can also be offered to reduce the curing time.

l Leak proof joining technique between cassettes to maintain uniform temperature inside ovens, with a rise of only ambient + 15 deg C temperature on the skin (for the powder curing ovens with 220 degree centigrade temperature inside).

l Specially designed heat exchanger (in case of oil �red burners and gas burners - as a p p l i c a b l e ) e n s u r e o p t i m u m f u e l consumption.

APPLICATORS - POWDER

MANUAL APPLICATORSCharjet- LDelivering high ef�ciency output and high paint saving, Charjet L, is electrostatic painting equipment. Paint is charged at 70 KV DC (-ve), which is lower than conventional painting. Air pressure is also lower than conventional painting ensuring lesser pollution and uniform coating coverage.Sagar/SaritaAirless or airless electrostatic applicators delivering pressurized paint through special nozzles are recommended for painting of heavy articles, or heavy painting requirements. There is no compressed air used for automation. Intech also supplies HVLP and high automation VXL guns for manual painting.

AUTOMATIC APPLICATORSElectrostatic centrifugal bell & discThey use the centrifugal force, caused by a rotating belt or disc shaped electrode-cum-applicator. Paint is dispensed through metered paint dispensing pumps or pressure feed containers. Quick colour changes are offered through paint circulation systems in Paint Kitchens. Electromechanical reciprocators and frequency controlled motors offer rotation at speeds to suit application and paints.

In case of bell applicators, the rotating head is mounted on vertical reciprocators. Back to back bell systems are common for straight - through conveyorised paint shops.
