That was the feedback we got from talking to both visitors and
exhibitors at the first day of Renewable Energy 2013 which
opened yesterday at BITEC, Bangkok. The show began
following complimentary remarks from Mr. Manu Leopairote,
Chairman of UBM Asia (Thailand) – the show organiser, and an
impressive Keynote Speech from the Guest of Honor, Dr.
Twarath Sutabutr, Deputy Director General of Department of
Alternative Energy and Energy Efficiency
The number of visitors attending the first day of the event was
4060 More than 30 special groups were at the colorful
international exhibition – a good sign for the environment.
Delegates also figured strongly at the event which had over
250 attendees, and were also prominent at the Renewable
Energy Conference which was supported by the Joint Graduate
School of Engineering and King Mongkut’s University of
Technology Thonburi both of which have generously backed
The Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore (SEAS)
represents the interests and provides a common platform for
close to 200 companies in Renewable Energy, Carbon
Development, Energy Efficiency, and Financial sectors to
meet, discuss, collaborate and undertake viable projects
together. The Association also extends its focus to include
Capacity Building, Technology Strengthening, and Market
Intelligence and Development to assist its members, and their
clients, in achieving Sustainable Growth locally and regionally.
WORD OF THE DAY: ‘A WINNER’
the event for the past 9 years. The benefits derived from the
Conferences and Seminars were certainly considerable and
will play a strong role in helping the global environment in
view of the many top level decision makers in attendance.
Both the Conferences and Seminars covered a broad variety
of environmental areas – everything from Hybrid Power
Plants to Organic Waste Resource and the challenges of
Biomass. All speakers were of the highest professional
caliber and visitors and exhibitors were provided outstanding
networking opportunities as they met with fellow
entrepreneurs and the Speakers in person during the official
luncheon and numerous coffee breaks.
All in all Day 1 of the exhibition got off to an excellent start and
set the stage for more good news and profitable ventures in
the days to come.
THE REGION’S PERMIER EXHIBITION ONRenewable Energy, Environmental Technology& Pumps, Valves, Pipes and Fitting Technology
The German companies at the trade show would like to
show their technologies and services to the international
audience and participants and to expand their network
into the Asian market.
German technologies are one of the best technologies
for the renewable energy sector. With often more than
20 years of experience German companies are experts in
all fields of renewable energy.
German companies are optimistic about the market
developments in ASEAN especially Thailand. Its
advanced political framework for renewable energies is
one of the most important player in the Asian market.
Therefore the German companies see Thailand very
often as an entry market for other countries. Visit us to

SEAS in Renewable Energy Asia 2013SEAS aims to facilitate the business of its Member companies,
thus developing Singapore as the regional center for the
promotion of Clean and Energy Efficiency Technologies and
Services, showcasing of Renewable Energy Technologies,
Carbon Asset Management and Trading as well as Clean
Energy Finance. In addition to the above, SEAS also
co-organises, hosts and supports regional trade shows,
forums and conferences to assist in the growth of the
renewable energy sector and its competences through
technical and C-level training programmes.
SEAS is supporting Thai companies to develop and grow
opportunities in the clean energy and energy efficiency sectors
by connecting international proven capabilities, technologies
and solutions found in Singapore to support technology
transfer, knowledge and capability development as well as
potential financing of projects in Thailand in collaboration with
Thai counterparts interested in developing such relations.

Mr.Saksit Prasatkeaw, the General Manager of IWAKI
Thailand has briefed that Trend of Pumps and Valves
usage in Thailand is still growing due to the continuous
expansion in the industry and Thailand becomes hub of
industrial production. Every factory always installs pumps
and valves for their chemical distribution or at least for
their waste water treatment process.
“IWAKI (Thailand) Co.,Ltd has joined Pumps and Valves Asia
event for years and we think that Pumps and Valves Asia
2013 is ONLY a show in Thailand for Pumps and Valves
Technology. From our experience, UBM Asia (Thailand)
always bring in quality visitors from various countries thus
it can help IWAKI to expand business internationally” said
Mr. Saksit Prasatkeaw , General Manager of IWAKI
(Thailand) Co.,Ltd
Mr.Takeshi Ohashi, Research and Planning Manager of IWAKI
said In Pumps and Valves Asia 2013, IWAKI team would like

Mr. Anuson Atilaksana, General Manager of SMA Solar
(Thailand) Co.,Ltd shared his view on challenge of the
industry. “The renewable energy market has grown
significantly in Thailand. The advanced inverter technology
gives proprietors and investors greater choice in
decision-making. Renewable Energy businesses should have
more public support, both in policy making and include in
Alternative Energy Development Plan (AEDP) in next 10 years.
Business should focus more on quality and services to ensure
good ROI for customers. Another decisive factor would be
government policies that provide incentives for investments
as well as the development of qualification standards in
assessing inverters in order to be recognized globally”
“As the global market leader in PV inverters, SMA presented
the latest technologies at the Renewable Energy Asia 2012
for the first time and got a very positive response from the
visitors which turned to be SMA’s customers. They all are
satisfied with SMA’s PV inverters after their first purchases
which create the repeat purchase to SMA business. Thank
you to the show organiser for organising such good show in
the region”, said by Mr.Anuson Atilaksana, General Manager
