( Locate it on YouTube by searching for http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0QXW4l0auLg  ) For years, Aba’s mother had worked long hours outside the home and then cared for her kids each evening. She’d bought a house so her children would always have a place to call home, yet the mortgage caused her great stress. Working at a $30,000/year position , Aba saved enough money to pay off his mom’s mortgage and, on his birthday, presented her with a check. According to a c aption in the video, her response was “Wow x 9000.” “I want to celebrate my life by celebrating the woman who gave me life,” Aba says.

BIBLE QUIZ

Right after God granted Solomonhis request for wisdom to govern,

the wise king faced a dilemmaabout a baby. King Solomon in-geniously solved a dispute be-tween two women who both

claimed to be the child’s mother(see 1 Kings 3:16-28).

But who was the mother ofSolomon?

A. Zipporah

B. AbigailC. Queen of Sheba

D. Bathsheba

The answer is in 2 Samuel 12:24.

The "M" word

During a science lesson, a second-grade teacher demonstrated how amagnet can pick up metal objects such as nails and screws.

Afterward, she said, “My name begins with the letter ‘m.’ I pick up

things with my power. What am I?”

A boy quickly answered, “You’re a mother!”
