    Untapped Resources

While taking photosof the earth, the

space shuttle Co-lumbia made a surprising dis-covery: Underneath the harshSahara Desert were 26 lakes,as well as miles of under-ground rivers. That regionsinhabitants face tough condi-tions because those abundantresources havent yet beentapped.

Churches often suffer a similarproblem. Congregations cantreach their full God-given po-tential unless people discover

and use their gifts. When wetap into our talents, however,

God promises that we will belike a well-watered garden, likea spring whose waters

    never fail (Isaiah 58:11)

    WLBC Praying for

DECCANI MUSLIMS OF INDIASeveral Deccani Muslims

who have come to Christ remainfearful about revealing to their fami-

ly and friends that they have become

    followres of Jesus. Though they

freely share about Him with others

when they are away from their

homtowns, they keep their loyalty to

and faith in Jesus secret when it

    comes to their own communities.

Pray that these new believers willtrust in the One who can protect

them. Pray that this will mature

their faith in Jesus, who can do the

    miraculous bringing salvation to

    their loved ones.

    What's it worth?As a man browsed through a rare-book store, he

chatted with its owner. The customer had re-cently thrown away a dusty old Bible hed foundin the attic of an old house hed just bought.

Someone named Guten-something-or-otherhad printed it, he mentioned offhandedly.

Not Gutenberg? the shop owner gasped.

Yes, that was it, the man replied.

You threw away one of the first books everprinted! the owner exclaimed in dismay. A

copy recently sold at auction for half a milliondollars!

Oh, I dont think this Bible wouldve been worth

anything like that, the man replied. It wasscribbled all over in the margins by some guy

    named Martin Luther.
