About CFS Admission Academics Campus Life Athletics Alumni Giving Welcoming Faces Old and New 193 boys from across the globe started classes today, some of them for the first time at Church Farm School. We welcome 59 new pupils and 134 returning students from places as close as Malvern, Philadelphia and New York City and as far as Somaliland, England and Iceland. Head of School Rev. Edmund "Ned" K. Sherrill II and the entire CFS faculty wish the Class of 2015 and the entire student body a fantastic school year. Convocation Convocation will be held on Friday, September 5 at 1:00 p.m. in the school's Chapel of the Atonement. Guest speaker David P. Hardy will share his expert perspective on the academic and social needs of urban boys, gleaned from his work as CEO and founder of the Boys' Latin of Philadelphia Charter School. Security Campus safety is important to us and the school has updated its building security systems by installing automated locks on all external doors of the main building, similar to those installed in the cottages last year. All community members will be required to wear their ID badge and card-key and all visitors, including parents, will now need to come to the main door of the building and check in at the reception desk. Parent/Student News The CFS Parents' Association welcomes back everyone to a new school year, and greetings to new students and parents. The first monthly meeting will be held on Sunday, September 14 at 5:30 p.m. in the Learning Center. Please join us and meet the new Marketing and Communications Manager, Stefanie Claypoole. If you are unable to attend in person, please consider teleconferencing with us. The call-in number is 866.962.6634. Enter guest code 84478472, followed by the # sign. All laptops have been upgraded to MacBook air devices, which are lighter and more oriented to cloud-based computing. We are providing heavy duty sleeves to ensure their care. Events Alumni, students and faculty/staff will joinvolunteers from West Whiteland Township,Weston Solutions and the Chester CountyLibrary for Make a Difference Day onSaturday, September 20 at 8:30 a.m.at Exton Park. They will clear the bermarea of the pond, restore it with nativeplantings and plant replacement trees,flowering plants and herbs near theparking area. Children's activities such asbuilding bluebird boxes will be provided for

those over 6 years of age. A free lunch will be providedimmediately afterwards.

Don't miss our 13th annual CFS GolfClassic on Friday, September 26 at theCoatesville Country Club! Registration and breakfast begin at 9:00a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 10:30a.m. Proceeds from this event fundscholarships for our students. Learn moreand sign up at www.gocfs.net/golf.
