E-Learning Plan: April 27-May 1 Reading Activities to do at Home Please read to your child everyday. Give them books to choose from and have them practice
holding a book and turning the pages. Also, stop and ask them questions and help them
identify characters and objects in the book. Here are some links to use so they can practice
their reading skills at home. You can also have them practice identifying the letters of their name
and of the alphabet.

Practicing Math skills at Home

More math skills to work on at Home *Read counting and number books *Sing counting songs (5 Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed, Five Green and Speckled Frogs, etc.) *Build a block tower and count how many blocks you used *Sort toy cars or legos by color *Compare sets of groups (10 blocks and 2 blocks) and identify which set is “more” or which set is “less” *Listen to counting songs on youtube!

This week News 2 You is about Irwin Family Helps Animals. At school, we read the article
together and do two worksheets. The first worksheet we do is Choose the pictures about Irwin
Family Helps Animals. The second worksheet is answering the 3 comprehension questions
on the next page. What I do is read them the question and cut out 2 of the pictures to give them
2 choices for each question. Try it at home using the link below.

Daily Home Activities
Color Hunt
The color of the week:
YELLOW
Walk around the house and try to find 3-5 things that are YELLOW and 3-5 things that are not
YELLOW. Show your child 1 YELLOW object and 1 that is not YELLOW. Ask them to touch the
object that is YELLOW.
Don’t forget to CELEBRATE their successes!
Color Sort
The color of the week:
YELLOW
Collect items that are YELLOW and not YELLOW. Grab 2 bowls or baskets to place the items.
Tell your child we are going to put all the YELLOW items in one bowl and all the other items not
YELLOW in the other bowl. Give your child one item at a time to sort. You can do hand over
hand the first time to introduce the lesson.
Don’t forget to CELEBRATE their successes!
Object identification
Collect objects that they come into contact with daily: book, toothbrush,
shirt, shoe, bowl, marker, glue stick, paper, ball, food, favorite toy.
Give them a selection of two objects and ask them to identify one.

escuela, leemos el artículo juntos y hacemos dos hojas de trabajo. La primera hoja de trabajo
que hacemos es Elegir las imágenes sobre La Familia Irwin Ayudando Animales. La
segunda hoja de trabajo responde a las 3 preguntas de comprensión en la página siguiente. Lo
que hago es leerles la pregunta y cortar 2 de las imágenes para darles 2 opciones para cada

colocar los artículos.Dígale a su hijo que vamos a poner todos los artículos AMARILLO en un
tazón y todos los demás artículos no AMARILLO en el otro tazón. Dé a su hijo un elemento a la
vez para ordenar. Usted puede hacer mano a mano la primera vez que presentamos la lección.
