DAy 1
Your journey begins in Bali, perhaps Indonesia’s best-known island, which
is often called “the island of the gods”. One of Dunia Baru’s crew will meet you upon arrival at Ngurah Rai International Airport; they will assist you with your luggage and transport you directly to
the superyacht. Once you’ve settled in, Dunia Baru will sail east towards Moyo island, an overnight journey that will
take around 18 hours to cover 143 knots. Bali’s Mount Agung, the holiest peak on the island and where, traditional Hindu belief has it, the gods reside, will keep
watch over you as you sail towards Lombok and into the night.
DAyS 2 & 3On days 2 and 3 you will be along the beautiful northern coasts of Lombok and Sumbawa. You’ll see spectacular
waterfalls, have the opportunity to kayak on a crater lake and walk to the rim of
an extinct volcano. You could also visit a small village known for the cloth the women weave by hand, and the boats still built using traditional methods. Of course, there will be plenty of chance for you to see an abundance of marine life and bright corals as you snorkel or
dive, and remember: Dunia Baru carries a range of water toys onboard.
MOYO ISLANDThe island reserve of Moyo is a magical place. It’s home to great-billed herons,
spotted brahminy kites and white-bellied eagles, making it a real treat for bird
lovers and those seeking solitude. For those who love waterfalls, a visit to Mata
Jitu is an absolute must. The waters around the island is what Moyo is best known for, and the coral reefs here are
beautiful. White-tipped reef sharks, blue-spotted sting rays and scores of
brightly colored tropical fish are usually seen – it’s a fantastic place to snorkel.
DAyS 2 & 3
SATONDA cRATeR LAkeSatonda is not a very big island (it
measures just two by three kilometers), yet it rises more than 1000 meters from the sea bed and, just off-center, it holds
a crater lake that is so much fun to explore. Dunia Baru’s crew will carry kayaks and stand-up paddlebaords to the lake so that you can make the
most of these secluded waters. If you’re up for a walk, the pathway up to the rim
of the crater offers a fairly easy (but steep) climb that will reward you with
exceptional views of the lake and surrounding ocean.
Satonda Lake is a rare phenomenon because the salty water has alkaline levels much higher than regular sea water – and that is especially interesting because the lake has no point or gap that connects it to the sea. Another interesting find is that the ripples of the lake move with the same
natural ebb and flow as the sea water surrounding Satonda itself. Scientists continue to study this phenomenon.
DAyS 2 & 3WeRA vILLAge
Wera is a small village on the north coast of Sumbawa, known for the bright cloth that the women here produce. The girls
in the village are taught the craft of weaving, and it takes years to become as accomplished as the older women. The cloths produced here are exquisite and,
at about $30 a piece, make fantastic souvevenirs, all the more special as you will get to meet the women who produce them. Wera is also a community of boat
builders, and a visit to this village is the perfect opportunity to catch a
glimpse into how traditional Indonesian phinisis – like Dunia Baru – are crafted.
SANgeANg vOLcANOSangeang Api is is an exciting place to
dive because it is one of the most active volcanoes in the region. Here, you can
swim through gases rising from the belly of the earth like delicate champagne
bubbles. If you put your hand close to the rocks and rocals, or into the dark
sand, you’ll feel heat emanating from the earth. Swim to the shore and you might see the tracks of wild pigs, monkeys or monitor lizards, and even water buffalo.
DAyS 4, 5 & 6On days 4, 5 and 6 you will be sailing
the northern and central waters of komodo National Park. Between the stunning
private beaches, hiking, diving, snorkeling, watersports, dramatic scenery and the
wildlife both above and below the surface of the ocean, there will be something for
everyone. Underwater you’ll have the chance to experience some of the world’s best and most exciting diving areas while
the surrounding dramatic landscape is quite literally out of this world.
MAkASSAR ReeFNorthwest of komodo Bay, Dunia Baru
will pass by Taka Makassar and Makassar Reef, which has a flat, shallow bottom
that’s interspersed with patches of coral. The corals here might appear pretty
ordinary, but Makassar Reef is one of the most interesting places in the komodo
archipelago – because it’s here that manta rays gather. The current is quite strong and the mantas gather here for feeding
and to use the area as a cleaning station – and that makes it a very memorable place
to go diving and snorkeling.
DAyS 4, 5 & 6
RINcARinca is komodo island’s smaller
neighbour, and it’s here that you’ll get the chance to go walking in search of komodo dragons. You’ll probably see a few near
the ranger station, but don’t be fooled by their seemingly docile nature: dragons, the descendants of dinosaurs, can be
spectacularly aggressive – and knowing this makes a walk through their territory a real adrenaline rush. There are different
trails of various lengths, and you’ll always have a guard with you.
PADARPadar is the third largest island in komodo National Park. It’s an island you will visit to enjoy sunset one evening – the walk up is quite steep, but the view from the top, of ragged hills jutting up from the
turquoise water, is absolutely stunning.
DAyS 7 & 8During the final leg of the journey,
Dunia Baru will sail to the very south of komodo National Park. It feels
wonderfully wild down here, so far from developed areas that the night skies
are absolutely magical – a very special and very fitting place to end what will undoubtedly be a magnificant journey.
Down here in the south of komodo, there is still a lot to look forward to: pristine
beaches, an idyllic beach barbecue and of course the chance to enjoy some
watersports and swimming.
On day 8, the captain and crew will make sure that Dunia Baru arrives at the port in Labuan Bajo in good time for you to take
your flight out of the island.
NUSA kODeThe large, coral-encrusted boulders of Nusa kode island attract some of
the biggest reef fishes that you’ll see in these waters, and on your list you’ll be
able to tick gigantic potato cod, Malabar grouper and red snapper. We’ll also take you to a tucked-away beach where, from the safety of the RIB, you’ll see komodo
dragons lazing along the shoreline.

The laid-back luxury of Dunia Baru’s interior invites guests to feel completely
at home onboard this superyacht.
The center-point is the eat-in galley, with a central island where meals are both prepared and enjoyed. This often
becomes the gathering space for friends and families, who also enjoy the large,
more formal seated dining area outside.
guests love to choose a book from the yacht’s library and stretch out on
the sofas, or to sunbathe on a lounger on the deck. The beanbags on the foredeck become a favorite with so many guests,
who settle in to watch the dramatic landscape of Indonesia’s islands slip by. By night, after the deck’s lounge
area has been converted into an al fresco cocktail bar, these beanbags become fantastic places from which to gaze
