The bursary is open to Year 6 students to compete for an annual bursary of $600 per year. Students are required to sit an exam with both literacy & numeracy questions followed by a writing task. Halloween Disco We had lots of ghosts, witches and scary creatures at Dungowan Hall for our Halloween Disco. A huge thankyou to parents and volunteers who helped with the organisation and providing some tasty treats. It was great to see parents and students from Woolomin joining us for the night. The SRC raised approx. $200. Coffs Excursion The time is getting closer for our excursion to the Coffs Adventure Camp. I will send an updated note next week about departure and arrival times, items to pack and comfort stops along the way. Again we are very grateful to our P&C who are funding this. Prawn and Chicken Night Congratulations to our P&C on a very successful night. We appreciate everything you do for our school. We have also had confirmation that the concreting work for the BBQ area over the road has been given approval. Attendance A reminder to parents and carers to please inform the school of absences especially if they are for more than a day. A good attendance rate is crucial for well being and academic performance of students. New ipads and laptops Our school has been able to secure 5 new laptops and 2 ipads from the department rollout. We have had Mr Simshauser from Regional Office out to configure them which means all students have access to the most up to date computers. Bee Incursion

On Monday we had a visit from

Manu and Callie from the UNE who

gave staff and students lots of

information about bees

and pollinators.

How great does this new shade sail

look. Our students can now play

safely out of the sun and we look

forward to using this play equip-

ment on a more regular basis.

This is just one of the first steps in

the upgrade of the this area and

the next step is to add more soft-

fall.

Bee Excursion - Students

enjoying some honey and

learning all about bees.
