The City of Buffalo is a beautiful example of the Steamboats thatflourished on the resort lakes of the north eastern United States inthe late 1800’s and early 1900’s. Designed by Capt. J.W. Pierce, she wasbuilt in Jamestown, New York and launched in 1890 on ChautauquaLake in New York.

One of 13 large (125’) steamboats built entirely of wood and sheathedin steel, she served the region from 1890-1929. Unfortunately, like somany of her sisters, she was destroyed by fire in 1929. This 1/48” scalemodel of The City of Buffalo features a balsa planked over laser cutlite ply frame hull and uses a combination of balsa, poplar plywood,and expanded PVC through out the kit. The kit is beautifully detailedwith cast metal pieces, laser cut components, flags, decals and muchmore. The construction documentation includes a full size plansheet, a 57 page insstruction manual, and a 30 page figure manual thatfeatures 70 individual drawlings. The Jolly Jay is a scale model of a commercial fishing trawler built by the Thompson Trawler Inc.of Titusville, FL. The boat is used in the fish andshrimp industries off the Florida coast and the Gulfof Mexico. The original boat has a length of 60 ft.and a beam of 20 ft. It is powered by a 365 HPCaterpillar diesel driving a 60" propeller. A 180' Patrol Craft Escort, The USS Whitehall wascommissioned in 1944 and was named after the townof Whitehall, NY, the birthplace of the US Navy. 3 AND 4 BLADED BRASS PROPSPut the finishing touches on your masterpiece withthese brass propellers. The props range in diameterfrom 1-1/2" to 3-1/2" and all have a 2" pitch. These sol-dered blade props arrive in a bright brass finish and should not require any balancing. They aredesigned to thread on to the 3/16" shafts threaded 10-32 and 1/8" shafts threaded 5-40. The three bladedpropellers have a tail nut on the hub, while the fourbladed propellers include a separate tail nut. Our three and four bladed brass props are manufactured by Raboesch of Holland.
