The technological innovation of the New Ducato is the availability

of Start&Stop on 130 and 150 MultiJet II engines.

The device temporarily stops the engine when queuing, for

instance at traffi c lights with the gearbox in neutral, and simply

restarts it when you press the clutch.

It guarantees up to 15% fuel saving in cities and consequently

reduces emissions.

Start&Stop engines are provided with a Gearshift Indicator to

suggest the best moment to change gear to optimise the engine

and further reduce consumption.

Furthermore, to respond to the needs of all situations, there

are two 6-speed manual gearboxes for keeping rpm low even

on motorways. A Comfort-Matic electronically controlled

manual gearbox can now be fi tted on the 130 MultiJet II,

150 MultiJet II and 180 MultiJet Power engines, to combine

the excellent engines performance and the low consumption

of the manual gearbox with the simplicity and comfort of

an automatic gearbox.

The Up function button optimises gear shifts with the vehicle at

full load or uphill, automatically guaranteeing the most suitable

engine speed in all cases.

Load it with work: New Ducato is up to any task. Great accessibility from the sliding side doors which are easy to open,

even with one fi nger! Rear doors open to 90°, 180° or 270° (the latter on request).

This means that when open you can exploit every centimetre of space. The load compartment is provided with hooks

(from 8 to 12) and folding rings for fi xing goods. The interior sides can be covered in thermoformed panels up to waist

height to protect the walls of the vehicle. The cargo compartment has a 15-watt ceiling light (a removable light is

available on request).

Steering wheel controls. (included in the Blue&Me™ option)

Blue&Me™ is an innovative system which additionally improves

the experience on board the New Ducato. Bluetooth®

technology is used to make hands-free phone calls. The

system is compatible with most mobile phones on the market.

The sound system switches to mute (if it is on) when a call is

received and hands-free conversation is activated through the

speakers. You can dial numbers using voice commands or

dial a number stored in the phonebook of your mobile phone

simply by saying the name out loud. With Blue&Me™ you can

also listen to music in digital format (MP3, WMA, WAV and

ACC fi les) by plugging in your media player, pen drive or iPod

and selecting the tracks from the onboard display.

Discover all the features of the optional Blue&Me™ TomTom LIVE. With LIVE services, including HD Traffi c™ which

The dual-stage driver’s airbag comes as standard. Full-size airbags are

available for protecting two passengers in the two-seat bench version with

side bag and window bag.

A camera located over the rear door transmits an image of the area immediately

behind the vehicle to a display in the cab to aid reversing in total safety.

People who work all day need peace of mind. New Ducato offers all the safety you need, and a little more. The most

important innovation is Traction+: a highly innovative traction control system available as optional for maximum

effi ciency in the event of a loss of grip. Furthermore, the four-channel ABS with EBD distributes brake force on the four

wheels to prevent locking and guarantees full vehicle control in all conditions. The optional ESP system corrects vehicle

trajectory in case of critical situations guaranteeing driveability in all conditions. The system integrates ASR, Hill Holder,

MBA and LAC (Load Adaptive Control) functions.

The New Ducato was designed to absorb collisions with maximum effi ciency. The non-deformable passenger cell

compartment guarantees the best safety as does the airbag system: in addition to a dual stage driver’s airbag, a full-size

120 litre airbag is available for front passengers. Side and window bags are available for rear passengers on request.

In other words: absolute all-round protection.
