COURSE OVERVIEWEndoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) hasemerged as an important newimaging modality. This programwas designed to provide nursesand technicians a thoroughupdate of the most recentadvances in endosonographictechnology and equipment,and a step-by-step guide toperforming and preparing forthe procedure. This course willallow the nurse/technician todiscuss the most recentadvances in EUS technologyand equipment, describe theprocedure and its role ingastroenterology, andunderstand the applications ofthe equipment and accessories.

REPROCESSING SPECIALIST TRAININGCERTIFICATE COURSE

COURSE OVERVIEWThis course is available to GI/Pulmonarynurses and reprocessing technicians who areinterested in thoroughly understanding theprocedures for endoscope care andreprocessing. Participants will learn torecognize the important processes requiredfor pre cleaning, leakage testing, manualcleaning, manual high level disinfection,endoscope handling and storage of Olympusendoscopes. Basic overview of endoscopyprocedures and nomenclature of endoscopeswill also be discussed. Hands-on training forreprocessing Olympus GI & Pulmonaryendoscopes will be provided.

PURPOSE STATEMENTThis course is designed to provide Olympusflexible endoscope customers with thedetailed training required to correctlyreprocess GI and Pulmonary flexibleendoscopes. Endoscopy fundamentals andendoscope construction are discussed to helpexplain the reprocessing of the intricate innerchannels of an endoscope. Attendees willwork in a simulated reprocessing environmentto practice the correct reprocessing steps thatare learned during the course.
