opening glass walls bring more light and fresh air into a room which enhances learning and comprehension for students.

“In our design of San Mateo High School, we wanted to find a way to encourage students to use the new outdoor quadrangle and amphitheatre by effectively ‘expanding’ the cafeteria to the outside. a flexible space that could service more than one function at the same time within a multi-purpose room on the community college campus of Golden West College. When the wall system is open, the space works as a multi-purpose room with a stage. When closed, it allows us to create space for two diverse uses: an intimate and private student lounge on one side and a more active space on the other for functions such as dining, group meetings, club fairs, and assemblies.”

“This ‘high-tech library’ facility in the Naperville Library system features a ‘computer commons’ adjacent to a computer classroom. Using the NanaWall between the two spaces seemed to fit the bill perfectly. Aesthetically, the NanaWall blends well with the nonmoveable glass parts. Functionally, the classroom can be closed off when in use, allowing the library patrons in the ‘computer commons’ to observe that computer instruction is available in the adjacent classroom. The room is opened up when there are no classes so people can move in and use the computers. The flow works!”

“Visitors go to Westcave to be immersed in the beauty of the preserve. The NanaWall works extremely well at our Westcave Preserve Environmental Learning Center to reinforce this theme. “A NanaWall in the addition to the 1939 Palo Alto Children’s Library opens the modestly scaled program room onto the library’s historic Secret Garden. The NanaWall enables the library to take advantage of a fine climate much of the year and accommodate groups of 100 or more children for its very popular story hours. The south orientation, dictated by the very limited site, is dealt with by the use of low-e glass in the NanaWall and a vine-covered trellis overhead.”
