Terabyte Indexer. dtSearch products can index over aterabyte of text in a single index, spanning multipledirectories, emails and attachments, online data and otherdatabases. The products can create and search any numberof indexes. Indexed search time is typically less than a second,even across terabytes of data. (Updating an index does not“lock out” searching.)

Concurrent, Multithreaded Searching. dtSearchdeveloper products provide efficient multithreaded searching,with no limit on the number of concurrent search threads.For online search, the products can run in a completelystateless manner, making it very easy to scale. Royalty-Free Licenses

Option 4: Royalty-free for a single qualifyingapplication

Price: $12,495. Please contact dtSearch Corp. for a draft licenseagreement.

Scope: This option covers unlimited, perpetual, worldwidedistribution of the dtSearch Engine embedded in a singleapplication running on a single platform that qualifies forroyalty-free licensing. If an application does not qualify forroyalty-free licensing, please refer to the other options below, orcontact dtSearch Corp. to assist in finding the right licensingoption.

Single application. Each of these would count as a separateroyalty-free application:

� a Web-server-based application running in a SaaS-hostedenvironment from a single hosting location (along with asingle additional disaster recovery site);

� an on-premises web-server-based application;

� an application that executes from PCs or other devices in astand-alone capacity;

� a traditional Windows client-server application;

� a portable device publishing application — see also dtSearchPublish pricing below; and

� a single module of a multi-module application (sold on a “mixand match” module basis) where searching would apply tothat module’s contents only.

Single platform. A single application license covers one platform(Windows Server or Windows Desktop, Linux, Mac, Android orUWP). Each additional platform requires a separate license feeamount.

Qualifying application. The following are examples ofapplications that are specific enough to qualify for royalty-freepricing:

� a SaaS-hosted application (see also above);

� a specific application for internal usage by a single company ororganization;

� a specialized vertical market application; and

� an application that is a client-server non-web-based documentmanagement application, including a custom non-browser-based client component and a custom server component eachexecuting from different machines. Typically, in suchapplications, the dtSearch Engine will index and search onlydocuments either: (a) “checked into” a proprietary archivalformat such that the documents, while “checked into” theproprietary archival format, are not accessible outside of theapplication by general-purpose programs; or (b) using encryptedor similar program-designated filenames, as opposed to MSOffice-designated filenames, for example.

The following applications would typically be outside the scope ofroyalty-free licensing:

� an application for publishing third-party web sites;

� an application available on an OEM basis;

� a general purpose web-based content management or contentsearch application; and

� a general purpose desktop or network search application thatdoes not meet the document management requirements setforth above.

Option 6: Bulk per server

Price: $400 per server for 25 servers totaling $10,000; $250 perserver for 100 servers totaling $25,000; $160 per server for 200servers totaling $32,000; $100 per server for 500 servers totaling$50,000; $60 per server for 1,000 servers totaling $60,000; $45 perserver for 2,000 servers totaling $90,000; $30 per server for 5,000servers totaling $150,000; and $25 per server for 10,000 serverstotaling $250,000.

The bulk per server option features the ability to upgradebetween levels by paying just the difference in price. Forexample, after an initial $10,000 payment for 25 serversrepresenting a cost of $400 per server, paying an additional$15,000 (for a total of $25,000) will achieve the 100 server level,representing a cost of $250 per server.

Minimum license: $10,000 for purchase of 25 servers. Anapplication that spans both Windows and Linux requires twoseparate minimum license fees. Please contact dtSearch Corp. fora draft license agreement.

Option 7: “Per seat” royalty — smaller distributionlicenses

Price: $2,500 covering a single application running in a client-executing environment (embedded in an application thatresponds to user input from the same computer where theprogram is running) for either:

(a) Internal usage in a single organization for up to 75individual users or client machines. (Available for immediatepurchase; no signed license required. This is an alternative usageoption for a 3-server-pack license); or

(b) Distribution to up to 42 individual users or client machinesat different organizations. Please contact dtSearch Corp. for adraft license agreement.

An application that spans both Windows and Linux requires twoseparate minimum license fees. Option 7 does not include UWP.

Development requirements: Both options cover one clientmachine allocated for development purposes.

Option C: “Annual Service Bureau”

Price: $3,500 per year. (Available for immediate purchase; nosigned license required.)

Scope: The “Annual Service Bureau” license covers one year of“search only” (i.e. without including end-user indexingfunctionality) portable media publishing from one location, withall portable media content as set forth below.

� The “search-only” portable media may run in an individual-usage capacity only, and not from a shared-access server.

� All portable media mastering must occur at single physicaloffice location. This license includes a single-user license ofdtSearch Desktop with Spider for index building; additionalcopies of dtSearch Desktop / Network licenses may beseparately licensed.

� The content must fall into one of the following popularcontent categories: (i) confidential e-discovery or forensically-retrieved data; (ii) confidential business transactiondocuments; (iii) data that Licensee has OCR'ed as a "servicebureau" for Licensee's clients; (iv) subject to express writtenapproval by [email protected], other similarly narrow topics(oil rig specifications, cardiovascular information, airlineregulations and the like).

� An annual license renewal is required to cover usage beyondthe initial year’s period.

Upgrades and technical support: License includes upgrades andtechnical support to a single point of contact for one year;subject to annual renewals thereafter.

Option D: Multi-subject publishing
