DTI-BDTP continues to work with DTI Regional and Provincial Offices in support of Filipino MSMEs, and in adherence to the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act. Through sustained collaborative efforts such as the Bagsakan initiative, the Department enables more local enterprises, farmers, and fruit growers to showcase their products. First launched following the postponement of the National Food Fair (NFF) last 12 March 2020 due to Proclamation No. 922, or the declaration of a state of public health emergency, the Bagsakan marketing initiative seeks to extend support for local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) affected by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The Bagsakan installments also aim to provide consumers with a steady supply of food and medicinal products as the country transitions from the enhanced to the general community quarantine arrangement. The next Bagsakan is set to launch on Thursday, 7 May 2020 at the DTI Head Office in Makati City, featuring Zambales mangoes, Pampanga watermelons, salted eggs, and fried itik, Bulacan organic rice, Nueva Ecija dairy products, Tarlac vegetables, Bataan araro cookies, bagoong, nilasing na hipon, ready to eat dilis, pusit cashew nuts, and other Filipino delicacies.

Aside from kalabaw variety mangoes, the succeeding Bagsakan series of initiatives held last 27 and 29 April at the DTI Head Office parking lot in Makati City featured other local vegetables, fruit and herbal preserves, native cookies and delicacies, marine, plant, and nut products manufactured by farmers and fruit growers across central Luzon.
