The two key requirements of a DTG printer are a transport mechanism for the garment and specialty inks (inkjet textile inks) that are applied to the textile directly and are absorbed by the fibers

The artist is free to design without constraints and not have to worry about limited colors

DTG is not just for garments and can print on about anything

No screens are required as opposed to the print screening method which requires different screens for different colors

Printing with whit, you will generally spend as little as 20-25 cents to print a white shirt and $2 or more to print the same image on a dark shirt

It’s harder to print with white ink and takes longer
