Provide direct services to the clients and the community partners. Ensure that accurate reports and statistics for the Department are maintained and submitted. Represent Multicultural Services at the Municipal, Provincial and Federal levels when

mandated by MCSS Ensure volunteer program is being maintained, including recruitment, interviewing,

selecting, orienting, hiring, and training. Scheduling and supervising all volunteers, practicum students and summer students. Supervise Program Staff and volunteers by assigning duties, providing feedback on

performance and conducting performance evaluation. Monitors and authorizes program expenditures and maintains financial records in

accordance with established procedures. Prepares the program budget for submission and presentation to senior management.

Promotes public awareness of and support for the program by producing promotional materials and attending community events.

Liaison with community service providers and other professionals to coordinate service provision; facilitate referrals to the program and represent the organization or program in external events.

2008 to Present: Immigrant Settlement Councilor:Provide services that assist newcomer immigrants and refugees to settle and integrate into Canadian society

2009 to present: Safe Harbor –Respect for All Project Coordinator: 41 Safe Harbour locations and 135 participants have attended the workshop and committed to provide Safe Harbor under the facilitation done since 2009.

2009-2010 Project Coordinator: BC Anti-Racism and Multiculturalism Program (Funded by BCAMP Program of Ministry Responsible for Multiculturalism, Embrace BC).

University Teaching Experience – Have taught Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Science (MBBS), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), M.Sc. Nursing and D. Pharma students for twenty years.

Teaching Methodology - 60% classroom lectures using overhead projector, slide projector, power point presentations and black-board teaching. Another 40% of teaching included organization of self learning skills among students through problem based learning (PBL), small group discussions and student seminars, intra- and inter-departmental oral quizzes, clinical visits, viva-voce and practical demonstrations. Provided self assessment forms at the beginning, in the middle and at the end of each topic or session.

Examiner for theory units: Composed question papers for 3 hour exam duration at the end of each unit which included short answer type questions and MCQ’s. Composed viva-voce question bank for each topic, and prepared topics for student seminar presentations and student’s self marking hand outs.

Examiner for practical skills: 40% marks for the performance skill, 60% for the clinical relevance in the form of oral examination besides the practical table.

All examinations throughout the year (both theory and practical) contributed 40% towards the internal assessment at the end of the session for University Examination.
