2D DRILL MAST POSITIONINGA simple 2D angle indicator (x, y) of the mast or advance in perforation. It lets us substantially improve the position of the drilling tools and lets you achieve an optimal parallelism between various drills. This equipment is made up of two elements, the display inside de cabin and the second element is inside a sealed box located in the advance, it contains two telimeters. There is also an option to place the display in the equipment chassis and to add a sound alarm to it.

POSITIONING OF DRILLING EQUIPMENT + DEPTH OF DRILL BITMulti-function indicator:- Indicates in 3D angle (2D compensated azimuth) of drill mast.- Indicates drilling depth, instant drill bit information, number of sections drillled and meters/ft. of drilled.- It also has a depth delimeter.- Posibility of laser alignment using the berm as a reference.- Indicates hidraulic pressures while drilling (geomechanical use in blasthole drilling).

INSTRUMENTATION

•.Xc =Arctan (tartX * cos(ZI +Z2) - tanY * sin(ZI+Z2)-Yc = Arctan (tanY * c<is(Zl+Z2) + tanX * sin(Zl+Z2)).

ADVANTAGES OF 3D ANGLE MEASUREMENT OF DRILL MAST- Reduction in equipment positioning time.- Better paralellism between drill shafts for production as well as for pre-cut purposes.- Drill depth data is also measured

- A drilling parameter is a physical property measured on the drilling equipment while it is operating on a continuous basis. - The data is stored in a data collection system. - The graphics show the various possible variations in order to get a good geomechanical interpretation of the drilled area.

DRILL PARAMETERS

The instantaneous drill speed or instantaneous advance speed (IAS) is the speed at which the drill tool advances while drilling.
MORRIS

The pressure of advance or travel pressure (TP) represents the pressure seen by the drill bit.

Injection Pressure (IP) or Sweep.

In the case of air swept drilling, the pressure can be lost due to terrain fractures. With this info we can find out if the compressor is of the right size.

In the case of mud injection drilling this data indicates the plasticity of the formations being drilled.

Torque pressure (TQP) expresses the necessary force for the drill bit to rotate in the well and it also provides informs us if the formation being drill is homogenious or heterogenious.

This information coupled with the advance pressure & the instant velocity can provide us geological and geomecanical information on the rock being drilled.

Drill time (TIME) is the inverse of IAS (Instantaneous AdvanceSpeed)-it is used in those cases where drilling is slow due to hard formations.
