Column Movements
• Entire formation has changed direction• DCID reestablished• Command: Forward, MARCH, will be given.

Column Movements
• Column Right March at Close Interval– Movement in the same manner except take 12 “ steps
between pivots
• Column Movements from a halt ---4.11.3 (Normal or Close Interval)– Execute one 24” step for column right.– Execute face in marching for column left
• Column Half Right (Left)-----4.12– Pivot 45degrees-

extreme element leader commands FORWARDSame time,remaining element leaders command STAND FAST & Keep head to the right (left) until you step off.

Forming a Column of Twos from a File
Command = Column of Twos (Fours) to the Left (Right), MARCHElement leaders turn head 45 degrees
Leading element leader commands STAND FAST.Remaining element leaders command Column ½ left (Right)
Command-MARCH, all element leaders return heads backRemaining element leaders step off executing a column left (right) simultaneously
Remaining members of each element march to approximate pivot point & perform movement in same manner
Each element is halted by element leader (turn head 45 degrees & command to halt)
