Drenched was created following a chance encounter, when our founder Wes stumbled across a TED Talk TV presentation by Alex Steffan.

The focus of the talk concerned “the route to a sustainable future” which left Wes feeling totally helpless, both as a father as well as an engineer due to the realisation that he wasn’t doing anything to help the planet sustain future generations.

Rather than stand back and leave it up to others, a strong urge to do something to help was ignited within Wes. With words of encouragement ringing in his ears two weeks later, allied with lots of fun experiments in the back garden with his children, and more than a little water being splashed around the house, Wes had made his dream a reality as the first successful prototype was tested and validated.

During those first few formative weeks in the life of Drenched, many lessons were learnt, the key of which we now refer to as “basicology.”

Basicology is a term coined by our founder and is at the core of every product we release, and will become a byword, synonymous for the standard by which all future products of excellence in energy saving will be measured.

The Drenched Volumiser technology embraces the true meaning of conservation and sustainability and has flexibility at its core. This award winning technology is found in all Drenched products, delivering incredible water and energy savings.

The standard washroom tap flow rate is approximately 6l/min at 3 bar pressure. The 0.25l/min Volumiser provides over 90% saving in water versus the best current aerator and the 0.12l/min Volumiser shows a saving of over 98%.

As these products are designed for use with cold water supply’s, they also allow the user to save 100% of the heating energy. This is due to the Volumising Technology reducing the mass and increasing the surface area of the water, making it feel warmer.

Due to the use of cold water, the Drenched Volumiser does not suffer from the usual calcification problems that aerators experience resulting in improved hygiene and maintenance.

The 0.25l/min flow rate volumiser is supplied as standard with the option of a 0.12l/min for shallow sink applications. e.g. disabled toilets.

Drenched Volumisers can also be supplied in the Anti Vandal housings making them perfect for high foot fall areas e.g. Schools, Universities and public buildings, we are also able to supply the Volumiser range in six pack blisters with one tool.

Throughout Europe, the standard aerator housing thread size is 24mm male, however in some circumstances a 22mm female, or even a non-threaded tap may exist. Drenched have housings and adaptors that allow the fitting of a Volumiser into these variations.

Drenched Dual Flo

BENEFITS

The Dual Flo has Drenched Volumising technology at its core with the added benefit that the user can select effortlessly between Volumised to laminar flow in one twist, allowing integration into every tap for every eventuality.

A standard kitchen tap fitted with an ‘A’ rated aerator will flow at 6l/min at 3 bar pressure, the Drenched Dual Flo in laminar mode flows at 5l/min saving up to 17% in water and energy. When selected to Volumised mode the Dual Flo delivers up to 98% water and energy savings.

When selected to laminar flow mode (5l/min flow rate) the Dual Flo can be used on a warm water supply. Selection to Volumised mode allows the use of cold water not only saving in water but energy too.

The standard thread fitting for a kitchen tap is 22mm female however there are other variants. The Drenched Dual Flo is supplied as standard with the capability to fit both M22 & M24 threads.

The market-leading patented technology integrated into every Drenched Volumiser Shower creates a powerful, yet incredibly delicate, Volumised mist that vastly increases the surface area of the water that comes into contact with your body. 1. Remove current hand shower from existing hose or replace with new hose if required.

2. Check condition of hose washers. Replace washer as needed with one supplied.

3. Attach your new Drenched hand shower to hose by turning the hose onto the threaded connection at the base of hand shower.

4. Turn on the water and check for leaks. If leaks are visible at hose connection, tighten connection and retest.
