Dear Sirs/Madams, We encourage you to read the latest issue of the DREMA FURNI-CA NEWS Magazine.

Hopefully, the special issue of the Poznań Fair Magazine features much useful information about our company and, above all, about the preparations for DREMA International Trade Fair of Machines and Tools for Wood and Furniture Industries as well as FURNICA International Trade Fair of Components for Furniture Production.Especially with a view of your needs, we persist in our efforts to improve the organisational formula of the most important meeting of representatives of the wood industry in this part of Europe. In the space of the last several years, the fair has become a marketing communication platform, a modern meeting place for professionals who, at the same place and time, have access to the most important group of manufacturers and suppliers of wood processing techniqu-es and technologies. Nevertheless, being aware of the growing mar-ket requirements, participation in our fairs provides our exhibitors with an opportunity to take advantage of our special offers allowing for even more efficient investment of funds. We also recommend taking advantage of a wide range of additional promotional tools, both standard (inter alia, large-size outdoor and indoor advertising, advertisements in the DF NEWS Magazine) and more prestigious ones – like, for instance, participation in the competition for MTP Gold Medals, whose formula has been significantly modified. To-day, improvements have become an inherent part of the basis for development of Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie, which celebra-tes its 90th anniversary this year.

We hope that this magazine will form a perfect basis for discussion during individual meetings.

Best regards.

DREMA International Trade Fair of Machines and Tools for Wood and Furniture IndustriesFURNICA International Trade Fair of Components for Furniture Production

September is the beginning of the period of intensive work on the next editions of DREMA International Trade Fair of Ma-chines and Tools for Wood and Furniture Industries and FUR-NICA International Trade Fair of Components for Furniture Production. What the organi-sational formula of the most important industry meeting in Central and Eastern Europe will be like?

DREMA and FURNICA – it’s good to be there!

Recommended by the European Federation of Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers EUMABOIS, DREMA and FURNICA Fairs are to be held on 27 and 30 March 2012. A total of more than 35,000 m2 of exhibition area will feature exhibitions of more than 800 com-panies from around the world, which will promote their latest offers to their potential and existing customers representing various sectors of the wood processing and furnitu-re production industries.

According to the latest forecasts, DREMA and FURNICA Fairs will be visited by more than 22 thousand professionals looking for

specific solutions allowing to streamline their everyday work at small, medium and large companies dealing with wood pro-cessing and/or furniture production. Visitors to the fair are interested in new technolo-gies as well as components and services to ensure efficient and high quality produc-tion to small, medium and large plants from different sectors of the industry. The profes-

sional nature of the fairs is appreciated by their participants from more than 25 coun-tries, and the factor influencing the achie-vement of their high substantive level is the presence of leading manufacturers and suppliers operating in international markets and registration of all visitors arriving at the fairgrounds.

Great importance of DREMA Fair to the wood processing industry in this region of Europe is confirmed by the fact that it is re-commended by the European Federation of Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers EUMABOIS. The organisation is made up of international corporations as well as natio-nal associations of manufacturers of wood processing machinery and tools, including the Polish DROMA Association, which for years has supported the development of the fair in Poznań.

Modern infrastructure of MTP fairgrounds of-fers an opportunity to present the operation

of equipment, machinery and entire produc-tion lines. Therefore, presentation at the fair is strengthened in terms of effectiveness of reaching prospective investors through the provision of the maximum possible amount of information necessary for them to make a purchase decision.

FURNICA fair, to be held at the same time and place, is a perfect opportunity to pro-mote and present professional opinions on new functional and design concepts from the world of components for furniture pro-duction, also dedicated to the upholstered furniture sector, in a specially arranged exhi-bition pavilion. The unique formula of the fair, aimed at creating the latest trends in the furniture industry, also includes the visitor registration system, which guarantees the highest quality of business talks. The exhibi-tion space will also feature an inspiring place for people looking for something more than personal contact with competent suppliers. The organisers are preparing a new version of the Charm of Detail – a special conference and exhibition space fsor the most deman-ding visitors.

Cut Costs!

The offer of participation in DREMA and FURNICA Fairs also includes special ele-ments opening an opportunity to benefit from active participation also to companies

so far oriented to other forms of promotion. The organisers offer, among others, ready-made module stands including additional services. With this solution a potential exhi-bitor may create their brand and establish commercial relations with relatively low fi-nancial outlays. An additional advantage for companies, which will order exhibition spa-ce by a specified date, are preferential price conditions reducing the final participation cost.

For years, the fair has been a recognised form of direct marketing and a communi-cation platform, in this case at business to

business level. The organisational formula of the fair, developed for years in coopera-tion with its participants, is aimed at achie-ving specific, measurable business results. Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie, a leader in the fair and conference market in Poland and an important player in Europe, actively formulates solutions adapted to the current market needs. DREMA and FURNICA Fa-irs undoubtedly stimulate success and are a must in the catalogue of marketing tools of each modern company.

From the inside

Clear division into theme areas – change for the better! The next year’s exhibition at DREMA and FURNICA Fairs will be located so as to provide vi-

sitors with an opportunity to obtain comprehensive information on the latest solutions in the

field of equipment for individual wood and furniture industry sectors.

- Preparing for the next edition of the largest event in the wood and furniture industry in this part of Europe, in view of our guests’ ne-eds, we have decided to divide the exhibition into industries – says Andrzej Półrolniczak, Director of DREMA Fair. As part of DREMA Fair – solutions for the saw-mill industry will be presented in the open space (Św. Marka Square) and in Pavilion 4, which will traditionally feature equipment for wood transport, equipment for mechanisa-tion of raw material yards, frame saws, band sawing machines, dryers and yard transport.

Companies offering comprehensive wood processing solutions will present their offer in Hall 5, while the inter-connected, super-mo-dern Halls 6 and 6A as well as Hall 9 will be filled by manufacturers and suppliers of tech-nologies for the furniture industry. A great advantage is the proximity of the exhibition of FURNICA Fair (Halls 7, 7A, 8 and 8A), where professionals from the furniture industry will be able to learn about the latest offers in the field of furniture production components. The thematic scope of DREMA and FURNICA Fairs is compatible with the no-

menclature of the European Federation of Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers EUMABOIS. This will enable exhibitors to present their products in such a way so as to allow their clients to immediately find them at the fairgrounds. This will be also facilita-ted by the catalogue of exhibitors, which is distributed for free to all registered visitors. On the first day of the fair, the catalogue is also available at drema.pl and furnica.pl in electronic form, with an accessible search option.

“We have participated in DREMA Fair for 15 years, we also present our offer at BUDMA, POLIGRAFIA and TAROPAK Fairs. It can be seen that the quality of work of the organisers and teams organising the fairs, in particular DREMA Fair, is becoming higher and higher. We can feel it as exhibitors that the organisa-tion team is committed to us, which translates into the amount of talks during the fair and the number of new contacts. Each exhibitor at the fairs in Poznań can enter their innovations presented at the stand free of charge. Information and photos received by the organiser are actively promoted in the Drema Furni-ca News Magazine, which reaches more than 50,000 people 3 weeks before the fairs, and directly during the event. As a result, visitors have more time to become acquainted with exhibitors’ offers, which allows them to effectively plan their stay and stands to be visited. Information on innovations and premieres is also placed in the Poznań Fair Press Centre, which is visited by more than 150 representatives of trade media from Poland and abroad during the event. Additional tools for participantsIn addition to standard participation in the fair, it is worth ta-king advantage of a wide range of promotion activities em-phasising the company’s assets both before and during the fair.

Ordering exhibition space and selection of appropriate stand construction meeting spe-cific expectations – these are the first steps to achieve positive results of participation in the fair. Our Section of Fair Promotional Servi-ces offers many additional tools allowing to shape a positive image among professional audience.

– Using our experience in the advertising in-dustry, we prepare multimedia advertising packages adapted to the individual needs of each customer, coordinate and imple-ment them in an effective way, sparing no effort to provide our customers with maxi-mum benefits from participation in our fa-irs – says Małgorzata Barczak from the Sec-tion of Fair Promotional Services.

– By the proper use of various forms of promo-tion, we guarantee reaching a wide audience from Poland and abroad – over a million of people a year! (number of visitors in 2010) Our promotional campaigns also reach the inhabitants of Poznań through numerous ad-vertising media located on elevations of the fair facilities in the centre of Poznań – adds Barczak.

By combining large format advertising (MTP has advertising media with a total surface area of almost 4,000m²) with Internet adver-tising, publications in special issues of the Po-znań Fair Magazine, support for PR and Media Relations activities as well as non-standard forms of advertising, we make our customers

stand out from the competition and draw special attention to their product and brand.

Large format advertising at the fair is defi-nitely the most attractive and the most visi-ble form of promotion and communication with the target group. Advertising space is located on elevations of pavilions, inside the facilities and in entrance halls. With location in places with high visitor traffic volume, it rivets attention and encourages to visit the stand. MTP’s offer includes more than 60 lo-cations, the largest of which have a surface area of up to 360m².

The company offers an unlimited range of solutions for each exhibitor in the form of advertising structures located at MTP fairgro-unds. Communication with visitors outside the stand is possible by placing interesting, eye-catching structures in the appropriate si-

tes. We can use stands, roll-us, display-boards, balloons, flags, cars and many other untypical custom-made structures.

Distribution of materials

During the fairs, all exhibitors can make use of the possibility of distribution of their pro-motional materials, folders, advertising ga-dgets to visitors to the fair. With mobile ad-vertising, your information can reach visitors before they visit your stand. The spectrum of possibilities within this service is vast. From characteristically dressed hostesses through stilters, roller bladders, roller skaters, segway riders, for instance, to mimes. The decision is up to exhibitors.

Catalogue of exhibitors

The fair catalogue is a perfect place for each exhibitor to present their offer. Published be-fore each fair, it creates an opportunity to re-ach a selected target group interested in the industry, which the fair is dedicated to. The catalogue is made available to each exhibitor as well as all purchased by visitors during the fair. It is used by the latter to get around the

fairgrounds. It is a guide, the best condense source of information on the exhibition offer at a given fair. Each exhibitor can place in the catalogue their entry in the alphabetical list of exhibitors (including company name and address), the content of their trade offer, com-pany logo and an address entry in the list of exhibitors according to product groups. Exhi-bitors can also place an advertisement, an advertising insert and order preparation of a design of the ad.It is worth noting that the fair catalogue is also published on the websites of specific fa-irs, which have high visit ratios, in particular in the pre-fair period, when the catalogue in printed form or on a CD is unavailable. Before the fair, a list of all exhibitors along with the location of all stands, is placed in a specially marked tab. Then, on the fair opening day, the catalogue supplemented with company addresses and all contact details is made ava-ilable.

Fair magazines and printed materials

The Poznań Fair Magazine is published by MTP Branch Office in Warsaw. It is published four times a year and presents the most im-

portant information about the fairs organi-sed in the next quarter. The Poznań Fair Ma-gazine is printed is three language versions: Polish, English and Russian. It is sent out to industrial and commercial chambers, com-mercial chambers, embassies and industry associations around the world. The Poznań Fair Magazine is also published in the form of a special issue on the occasion of indivi-dual fairs (e.g. DREMA FURNICA NEWS). It is sent out to visitor groups corresponding to a given fair.

e-aDvertising

Exhibitors can also make use of advertising space in the form of banners, logotypes and links in the industry-specific website of the event (www.drema.pl and www.furnica.pl). The fair websites are visited by tens of tho-usands of unique visitors per annum. These websites can be also used to place contact details, press releases and photos.

From the inside

To know your customers – it’s priceless!Participation in a fair is a serious decision in the life of every company, which is determined by specific expectations relating to the assumed marketing objectives. Their achievement is influenced by many factors, including a clear definition of the group of potential audience.

The visitor registration system operating by MTP allows to collect information on the pre-cise number of visitors, the duration of their stay at the exhibition as well as details rela-ting to their professional profile and the ob-jective of their visit to DREMA and FURNICA Fairs. According to the information collected during the last edition of the fairs – more than 20 percent of visitors deal with produc-tion, and 29 percent – combine production with services and trade. The fairs are mostly visited by people representing various sec-tors of the furniture production industry, carpenters as well as merchants. The largest group, i.e. 65 percent, are owners, directors and managers, and 23 percent represent production technologists and designers. As many as 69.2 percent of respondents are interested in visiting both DREMA and

FURNICA Fairs, whereas 24.73 percent are only interested in machinery, while 6.06 per-cent are interested exclusively in FURNICA Fair. A very important factor in the statistics is the participation of a completely new gro-up of professionals visiting the fairs, who in 2011 represented 27 percent.

The statistical data presented above collec-ted by the organisers are useful in the prepa-ration of a long-term development strategy for DREMA and FURNICA Fairs so as to ensure that they meet to the fullest possible extent the expectations of their participants: exhi-bitors – in terms of professionalism of busi-ness talks, visitors – in terms of an extensive, diverse market offer tailored to their needs.

We are all winners!Regatta for the Cup of the President of the Manage-ment Board of Między-narodowe Targi Poznań-skie on the occasion of its 90th anniversary were held on Kisajno Lake in Piękna Góra near Giżyc-ko. 32 teams competed in eight races on Ome-ga sailing boats. The entire sports event la-sted two days (2-3 July). During the event, guests supporting the competitors from ashore could make use of various forms of recreation offered by the resort.

From early on the level of rivalry was very high and the competition for a podium po-sition was fierce. The first day was domina-ted by favourable wind, and on Sunday the wind got stronger giving sailors a positive thrill of emotions and suntan.

The competition was fierce and fair, there-fore, a Special Award of the President of the Management Board of MTP was granted to the team of MR Meble Rybaccy for excep-tional competitive spirit.

In addition to the sports competition, the event also featured an entertainment part. On the first evening, the participants of the event gathered together at a common bar-becue, continuing the meeting in the light of a bonfire and singing shanty songs to the accompaniment of a guitar.

The Cup of the President of MTP was won by the team from PPH Gass with steersman Tadeusz Garniewski, and Stanisław Szyszkowski and Piotr Szyszkowski as team members. The second place was taken by Jacek Kla-wikowski (steersman), Dorota Ogór and Damian Matuszak from Homag Polska, while the third place – by Korsil with steersman Marcin Drużkow-ski and his team - Tadeusz Kukliński and Jerzy Kłopotowski. The winners were granted the cup, and the other two medal-winning teams received statuettes. All participants of the regatta and guests received commemora-tive certificates and a group photo.

On Saturday, after the first day of the compe-tition, the Captain’s Evening, i.e. a party on the waters of Masurian lakes, was held. Three in-ter-connected sailing boats served as a scene for Zejman i Garkumpel shanty band, which entertained the sailors – exhibitors and part-ners of the fair with their partners invited to the regatta. The local specialties allowed to feel the climate of sea stories.

The jubilee Regatta organised by Międzyna-rodowe Targi Poznańskie, as a great form of sports competition, but, above all, great fun for enthusiasts of sailing adventure, was the source of a lot of positive emotions for all the participants of the event.

New formula of the MTP Gold Medal! The MTP Gold Medal has a recognised tradition and renown, and in the post-war history of Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie it has been awarded since 1979 and enjoys wide reco-gnition among exhibitors from Poland and abroad.

The Gold Medal is a highly-valued form of product promotion and a perfect marke-ting instrument, which is very eagerly used by companies that place the Golden Medal logo on their products and promotional materials.Winning this important award at the fair is also appreciated among professionals, who very often buy awarded products based on the decision of the Competition Jury. Ma-nufacturers, whose products received the MTP Gold Medal, claim that the sale of tho-se products increases by 10-30%.The media pay much attention to awarded products, by presenting them in maga-zines, trade press as well as TV programs, which contributes to their promotion.

“Acanthus Aureus” awards have already become a tradition of the fairs organised by Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie and are granted to exhibitors whose company marketing strategy is best reflected in their

exhibition at the fair. Exhibitors enter the competition based on applications, which are free of charge.

Exhibitors at DREMA and FURNICA Fairs will have an opportunity to compete for the

MTP Gold Medals in a new formula of this prestigious competition already in the 2011 editions of the fairs. The deadline for entering products to the competition has been signifi-cantly shortened (the end of Janu-ary 2011). As a result, information on nominated products will be pu-

blished earlier in the media and the Drema Furnica News Magazine, which

is distributed among visitors in an edi-tion of 55,000 copies along with invita-

tions to Poznań, where awarded products are to be presented. The prize award cere-mony is to be held during the fairs, which are attended by many representatives of the media, including trade media from Po-land and abroad

COMPANY

Only well-thought-out solutionsThe stand construction team of Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie deals with arrangement of

the exhibition space. It has a long-standing tradition as well as sound experience not only in

the execution of orders in Poznań, but also all around Europe. Therefore, its members perfec-

tly understand customers’ needs and create perfect meeting places at the fairs.

For years, the team has grown in power. No wonder, as it builds almost 6,000 stands with a total surface area of several dozen full-size football pitches a year! No other company operating in this industry can boast simi-lar achievements, and years of experience translate into stunning stands designed so as to, on the one hand, enable the achieve-ment of exhibitors’ objectives, and on the other, ensure comfort to business customers and employees.

Exhibitors are provided not only with stan-dard service. Experienced consultants pre-pare for fair participants comprehensive, custom-made offers in the area of construc-tion of stands in Poznań along with com-prehensive logistics, storage and installation services at any fair organised in Poland and around the world. They advise on what to do to ensure that a stand attracts attention, stands out from the competition, and at the same time is optimised in terms of price. They also help develop a concept for a spe-ech for the fair so as to effectively translate the company’s strategy into the design of the stand. Exhibitors are supported by the best designers having highest-class software allowing to precisely draw each detail. Their visions are transferred from computer scre-ens to the fair pavilions by experienced as-semblers, who ensure impeccable execution of the design. The on-site technical service and the biggest collection of furniture and modern accessories in Poland are also of gre-at importance to the efficiency of operations of the team.- Unexpected orders are executed on a “yesterday” basis and we ensure that the customer does not forget anything in the fe-rvour of preparations for the fair, and we re-spond to any absolutely urgent, unexpected customer needs within a quarter – says Rafał Durczak, head of the team that will supervise

Services

exhibitor service during next year’s DREMA and FURNICA Fairs.

The team’s experience is also proven by its previous achievements in the area of imple-mentation of non-standard projects.

A large portion of the activity of the Stand Construction Division of MTP consists in the preparation and arrangement of events, from construction of seminar rooms through preparation of animal exhibitions to interna-

tional conferences. An abundance of stand arrangement systems and their elements allows the Division to prepare stands in a countless number of options, which is only limited by the imagination of experienced designers.- Interesting projects we can be proud of include the exhibition in the European Par-liament entitled ‘Enigma Decipher Victory’, professional horse competition rings me-eting stretching criteria of the organisers of horse racing competitions, comprehensive

handling of the National Exhibition of Farm Animals prepared on an annual basis by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Develop-ment, professional catwalks, fully equipped conference rooms, with the most spectacu-lar ones prepared for the Climate Change Conference COP 14. We can change any space according to even the most untypical customer needs. And they include market leaders representing almost all economic sectors – says Zbigniew Józefiok, Head of the Technical Service Division. – The challen-

ges we are facing include not only growing expectations of exhibitors, but also trends and fashions, manifesting themselves, for in-stance, in the use of untypical materials and architectural solutions, which so far have not been associated with the art of exhibition – adds Józefiok.

The new edition of the Budma Fair will be dif-ferent from its previous versions. Our goal is a daring introduction of innovative solutions to the building industry as well as conscio-us and responsible formation of healthy and functional public space that will be available for all generations. - We want Budma Fair to play an active role in setting trends in the development of the construction industry as an effective plat-form of promotion of innovative products for exhibitors, and the largest and the most complementary presentation of future con-struction technologies for visitors – says Vio-letta Pastwa, Director of Budma Fair.

We want Budma 2012 to free the imagina-tion and go far beyond the wide-spread pat-terns and standard activity. A range of new events addressed to the key visitor groups will appear in the fair programme. Many spe-cial exhibitions and conferences, which have accompanied the fair for years and enjoyed much interest, will undergo a complete me-tamorphosis. The program of meetings with organised visitor groups from abroad will also be developed. The most interesting in-novation prepared for next year’s edition is the free-of-charge Budma 2012 Premieres program (products presented for the first time during the fair will be covered by a spe-cial promotional package).

straDa Di arChittetura

One of the innovative projects at the Bud-ma Fair 2012 is Strada di Architettura whose aim is to help architects and designers get an easier access to innovative materials and unique technological solutions of tomorro-w’s building industry. Strada di Architettura is a touring path through the newest Polish and international architecture, leading thro-ugh all exhibition areas up to places where events for architects will be held.

Exhibitions, workshop areas, conference ro-oms as well as selected exhibitors stands will create a route for architects on the Budma Fair 2012 exposition map. Strada di Archi-tettura will combine three zones lying in distant parts of exhibition area (knowledge, inspiration, experience) where events with participation of invited architects will take place.

The project is addressed to companies who-se product range includes innovative and

unique solutions dedicated to architects and designers. We are especially interested in companies with an innovative approach to design, which apply the latest technologies and products allowing to implement so far unfeasible visions as well as use materials that are already available on the market in a creative - often going beyond traditional methods - way.

buDshow 2012 – house of the future

The BUDSHOW 2012 special exhibition will feature construction of a modern house de-signed by greenCUBE_127 awarded in the Polish national architectural competition “Your House – Dialogue with Tradition”. The house is an example of modern architectu-ral design and multi-dimensional architec-ture sustainable in terms of economy and environment. - We want to show advanced, modern ar-chitecture adapted to the needs of contem-porary investors and that it is possible to design and build a house in the standard of passive energy with a limited budget, while maintaining the appropriate technological regimes – explains Pastwa.

We want the house to be distinguished by low built-in energy rates (used to produce building materials), final energy (consump-tion for interior and water heating purpo-ses) and primary energy consumed by the building.

revitalisation

Within the subject matter of the fair, which includes large-size, industrial and specialist construction, special attention will be also paid to modernisation of existing buildings and revitalisation of historic facilities. Partici-pants of the next edition will have an oppor-tunity to get acquainted with both economic and legal aspects of revitalisation as well as the latest products and technologies used to modernise existing buildings (e.g. monu-ments, old housing estates built of prefabrica-ted concrete, public utility buildings).

Budma invites to a series of seminars orga-nised in cooperation with the Association of Conservation Officers (SKZ), which will fe-ature a presentation of conditions governing revitalisation projects as well as the best re-commended techniques and technologies of renovation of old and revitalisation of squalid architectural structures. Participants of the se-minar will learn how to obtain co-funding for programs from EU funds.

The seminars will be accompanied by an exhibition presenting specialist building and conservation materials used in revitalisation. They will include finished products, such as construction woodwork or interior design elements, as well as equipment used, for in-stance, to drain damp facilities. Design com-panies and contractors as well as financial and consulting institutions will also present their offer. The exhibition will be an opportu-nity for local governments to present their re-vitalisation programs and search for partners for their implementation.

Budma Fair will be complemented by BU-MASZ International Fair of Construction and Road Building Machines, Vehicles and Equip-ment, CBS – Sports Facilities, Amenity Areas, Wellness & Spaand GLASS Glass Industry Fair to be held simultaneously at MTP fairgrounds.
