Dream Divers is Now a

PADI 5 Star Dive Centre

In recognition of the recent efforts by allmembers of our Dream Divers team, in

continuing with their professionaldevelopment of PADI dive professionals, wehave now been awarded PADI 5 Star DiveCentre status.

We would like to congratulate all our teammembers for their efforts in helping DreamDivers to achieve this prestigious recognitionfrom PADI.

The award of this status will allow Dream Divers to expand the rangeof courses we are able to offer, helping our students, customers, diveclub members and staff members to both pursue their divinginterests, whilst expanding their diving knowledge.

Chaired by Gary YoxallMany thanks to all the people that managed to attend this months clubmeeting it was a good turn out with 30 people attending and it was verynice to see some new faces. We currently have 29 members who havepaid their subscription for 2010.

Dream Divers Club Membership Fees are only 12 per person for the fullyear and in order to take full advantage of the benefits and discountsavailable to members; you need to have paid your membership fees infull.

This month Dream Divers are again departing from the PADI Specialty of themonth, which is Drift Diver, for the same reasons as last month, We will be

running this course later on this year, so contact the dive centre today toregister your interest.

So this month's Dream Divers Specialty of the Month will be the PADIEmergency Oxygen Provider (O2 Provider) course.

PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider

This course will provide you with the essential knowledge, onrecognising and providing emergency treatment for diving illnessesthat are treatable with the application of emergency oxygen.

Taking this course is essential for any diver who wants to become aPADI dive professional, and it is also highly recommended for alldivers and those who are regularly around divers. The O2 Providercourse teaches important skills, which could make the differencebetween life and death for a fellow diver, these include:

How to recognise diving illness treatable with emergencyoxygen.

Equipment Set Up Administering emergency oxygen

It builds upon and reinforces the knowledge covered in both the EFR(Primary and Secondary Care) and Rescue divers courses, provingmore in depth training on how to correctly assess the situation, and

provide often life saving emergency treatment, whilst the emergencyservices arrive, which due to the nature of diving, could be sometimein remote diving locations.
