Dream Dinners Franchisees Give Back to Their Communities During the Holiday Season

Holiday Giving Events Four Dream Dinners franchise locations embraced the holiday spirit of giving in December by donating one month’s worth of Dream Dinners meals to deserving families across the country in Atlanta, Detroit, Miami and San Diego to help ease the stress of families in need during the holiday season.

The events were free to attend for invited families and allowed the families to go home with six servings of six different, delicious Dream Dinners meals. We partnered with four different organizations to find deserving families in each of the four locations to help de-stress the holiday season. The families involved were those affected by cancer, veterans from past wars and victims of burn incidents.

“Spending time together as a family around the dinner table is so important, especially when life throws challenges your way,” said Darin Leonard, CEO of Dream Dinners. “We are blessed to be able to help so many deserving families during the holiday season. Now they can avoid some of the stress of trying to plan for dinner each night and instead connect with their family over a homemade meal.”

In an effort to give back to those in need this holiday season, Dream Dinners of San Diego hosted local families in need at their store on Wednesday, December 10 to assemble a month’s worth of meals to enjoy with their families. The selected participants all are actively involved with The Burn Institute, which provides thousands of people each year with life-saving fire and burn prevention education, funds vital burn research and treatment and conducts burn survivor support programs. With the holidays quickly approaching, Dream Dinners franchisees Lillian Sarangay and Lee Ann D’Artenay wanted to help take the stress off these deserving families so they didn’t have to worry about the time-consuming tasks of shopping and preparing dinners. The event was a true success and provided four deserving families with a total of 144 meals.

San Diego Event

On Saturday, December 13, Dream Dinners franchisee Nina Ortiz invited three local and deserving families into her Dream Dinners franchise to assemble a month’s worth of Dream Dinners meals. Each of the families are involved with Veterans En Route, which provides America’s war heroes free transportation services for emergency, practical and necessary use to veterans who are immobile due to inaccessibility. Veterans En Route aims to help their members achieve success in their professional and personal lives. In total, the event provided three deserving families with a total of 108 meals.

Miami Event

The Detroit event provided Dream Dinners meals to families involved with Angels of Hope, which provides support to families who are affected by cancer. Renee Rosol, Dream Dinners of Rochester Hills, MI store manager, wanted to help these families in need by providing them with a month’s worth of meals in hopes of de-stressing their holiday season. The event was held on Thursday, December 11th and in total the Dream Dinners franchise provided four deserving families with a total of 108 yummy meals.

All of the selected families are actively involved in Children’s Wish Foundation International, a wish granting organization for seriously ill children. As the holiday were approaching, the last thing these families needed to worry about are the time consuming tasks of shopping and preparing dinners. Dream Dinners franchisee, Adanna Hartwell, was honored to deliver some much needed stress relief to the community members. The event was a true success and provided the selected families with a total of 108 meals.
