ConstructionAdvantages

✔ No time consuming placing of the mesh.

✔ Reinforcement always in the right place.

Steel fibres for concrete reinforcement

Dramix® glued together in bundles :✔ is the only guarantee for a

homogeneous distribution.✔ allows the use of fibres with

high l/d ratio.✔ can easily be added in the

batching plant or in the truckmixer.

Dramix® steel wire forhigh tensile strength.

Mechanical anchorage (hooks) at

the ends for optimal pull-out

resistance.

Economical advantages

✔ The use of Dramix® reinforced concrete reduces the construction time of the floorcompared to mesh reinforcement.

✔ The floor thickness can be reduced by using Dramix®

steel fibres.

✔ Dramix® steel fibres with a highl/d ratio offer the most economicsolution compared to other typesof steel fibres.

✔ A Dramix® steel fibre floor offersthe best cost/performance ratio.

Technical advantages

✔ An increase in load bearing capacity due to the redistribution of stresses.

✔ Reinforcement throughoutthe full depth offers excellent crack - control.

✔ Optimal resistance againstimpact and dynamic loads.

✔ Joint spacings can considerably be increased.

TEST

A key factor in qualityfibre concrete is therelationship betweenthe length and diameter of the fibres:the higher the l/d ratio, the better the performance.

Dramix® versus double mesh

Double mesh 200 x 200 x 7 x 7

Conclusions

✔ Dramix® Steel fibres offer the same loadbearing capacity as double mesh.

✔ Same deformation as a double mesh floor.

Conveyor Belt✔ For easy handling,

Dramix® steel fibres arepackaged in heavyduty paper-bags of 20 kg, with 60 bags perpallet.

✔ The Dramix® steelfibres are then poured onto a conveyor whichdistributes them into the truck mixer.

✔ Empty paper bags may then be recycled.

By using a conveyor belt and following theBekaert recommendations for mixing, an excel-lent distribution of the fibers is achieved.

The recommendations for mixing, can be found on the productdata sheets on our homepage www.bekaert.com/building

Automatic dosingequipment:✔ Minimal manual hand-

ling✔ Benefiting from preci-

se dosing and auto-mated integration ofDramix® steel fibres into the mix.

✔ The optimum solution for large steel fibrevolumes (> 300 t p.a.)

✔ High productivity (0 - 3,5 kg/sec)✔ Excellent mixing results

Ideal for collated Dramix® steel fibres as theyneed smaller volume to store. Efficient materialsupply in big bags of 1100 kg, less intervals tofeed the dosing equipment.

Dramix® Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete: “the classical”

Dramix® steel fibers are quickand easy to install – in mostcases no concrete pump isrequired to place the concrete.

Dramix® steel fibers can increase the efficiency of placing concrete. Up to 20% faster than with conventional reinforcement.

Use of techniques for finishing and saw cutting as usual.

Dramix® steel fiber reinforced concrete slabs providegreater load carrying capacity and increases the lifetime of a slab.

Applications:

✔ Warehouses

✔ Production Facilities

✔ Industrial Slabs

✔ Shopping Malls

✔ Convention centers
