Boya Community Hub THE Boya Community Hub to be built alongside Boya Oval will provide our community with a state-of-the-art building, bringing several facilities under one roof. The Hub project including carpark component and oval works is valued at $7.4million. The Hub will house: Katharine Susannah Prichard Library, currently located on Scott Street in Greenmount a modern community hall to replace Boya and Greenmount halls. Badge Constructions was awarded the tender for the contract in early October 2015. Building construction started in January and is expected to be completed early 2017. Some trees needed to be removed in mid-January so site works could begin. Contractors will operate six days per week in order to finish the project in a shorter time frame. Once the building works are completed, replacement trees will be planted and landscape works undertaken. Katharine Susannah Prichard Library and Greenmount Hall will continue to operate at their current location until the project is completed. Boya Oval will also be upgraded with new flood lighting, water irrigation tank and extended playing surface.
